Xbox App Now Offers the Ability to Stream and Play Games via LG Smart TVs
Through a recent announcement, Microsoft allows Xbox app access on certain LG Smart TV models, making it possible for users in over 25 countries to stream and enjoy gaming content straight from their television sets. However, keep in mind that an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription is necessary to take advantage of this feature.
As a thrilled enthusiast, I’m excited to share that the recent update encompasses LG OLED TVs from 2022, select 2023 LG Smart TVs, and an array of latest models, including smart monitors running webOS24 or later. This expansion allows me to stream games from the Game Pass library, plus a continually expanding collection of titles I already possess, such as Assassin’s Creed Shadows, NBA 2K25, and Hogwarts Legacy.
Before using the Xbox app on your TV, it might be necessary to update its firmware initially. After the update, you can download the Xbox app from the app store and start streaming various games through Xbox Cloud Gaming. You’re free to use any Bluetooth-compatible controller of your preference for this purpose. For more details on how it all functions, please visit the Xbox Wire website here.
