X-Men star hints at return in Avengers 5 and 6: “You never know!”
As a long-time Marvel fan who has witnessed the evolution of these cinematic universes from their humble beginnings, I must say that the Multiverse Saga has truly outdone itself with its recent offerings. The return of classic Marvel stars has been nothing short of exhilarating, bringing together fans across generations in a shared celebration of our beloved characters.
Throughout the course of The Multiverse Saga, there have been numerous highs and lows, sparking a variety of responses from fans. However, it is undeniable that the most enthusiastic reactions come when a well-known Marvel character makes a comeback. Check out the audience’s excitement or scroll through social media posts – this is the impact of The Multiverse Saga at its best.
The movies like Spider-Man: No Way Home and those featuring Deadpool and Wolverine have brought fans together worldwide, spanning all generations. Marvel enthusiasts are overwhelmed by the franchise’s vast growth (and getting to encounter these iconic comebacks for the first time), while traditional Marvel fans shed tears of joy at the reappearance of some beloved characters and actors.
There’s something truly captivating about this sight, and what makes it even more exciting is the prospect that the most thrilling parts might still be ahead. With both “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars” approaching, there’s a sense that the best is yet to unfold.
Indeed, one legendary character from the X-Men series has hinted at making a cameo in one of the films, exciting fans.
Halle Berry talks potential return in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars
Halle Berry has hinted at a possible cameo role in either Avengers 5 or 6 during an interview with ComicBookMovie.com’s Josh Wilding. While discussing her upcoming horror movie Never Let Go, she was asked about the possibility of appearing in these Marvel Cinematic Universe films, to which she responded with a coy “You never know!” suggesting that it might happen.
Of course, this development has sparked excitement among fans, who are now wondering if she might be involved in future movies. The actress, known for her role as Storm in the X-Men film series produced by 20th Century Fox, didn’t explicitly deny or confirm the possibility of a comeback when asked about potential future roles or appearances in Marvel productions. As such, speculation has emerged regarding whether she could potentially be part of upcoming films.
In the rumors, Berry was said to be part of the cast for Deadpool and Wolverine. This movie brought back many actors from the X-Men film series, with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine being one of the main ones. The film also aimed to honor the 20-year history it had built. However, she didn’t end up appearing in the movie as planned. Later on, Berry disclosed to ComicBook.com that she was never asked to actually be a part of the movie.
Blake [Lively] asked me one time… ‘Would you ever be in my husband’s movie as Storm?’ I said, ‘Yeah, if he asked me,’ but he never asked me.”
Fans of X-Men weren’t overly excited due to the fact that Storm is one of the beloved characters from Marvel Comics’ renowned mutant supergroup. Yet, this presents an opportunity for Marvel Studios to rectify this situation. Moreover, it’s not just about Storm; they can also address other characters in need of attention.
It’s widely speculated that upcoming movies like “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars” will showcase an even more epic clash similar to the one witnessed in “Avengers: Endgame“, possibly involving heroes from every corner of the Marvel Universe. This could pave the way for X-Men characters who didn’t appear in “Deadpool and Wolverine” to finally make their mark.
Marvel Studios is working on introducing their unique take on the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and a film featuring this team is currently being produced. Hugh Jackman may reprise his role as Wolverine, while other characters are expected to be recast to allow for a fresh start in the narrative.
In the original X-Men trilogy, Berry played Storm. Later, she reappeared as the character in 2014’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” Critics and fans alike have often felt that the films didn’t fully explore Storm’s potential. Another appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe could change that.
