X Factor star marries long term partner in lavish ceremony at The Savoy

X Factor star Lydia Lucy has married her long term partner Tommy Watson. 

Last week, the artist who appeared on the show back in 2013 got married in an extravagant ceremony held at The Savoy in the heart of London.

Lydia looked incredible in a traditional A-line gown with lace sleeves and a dramatic veil. 

Sharing their joyous news on Instagram, she posted a picture from their special day with the caption: ‘Now husband and wife.’

In a comment, reality TV star Chloe Brockett (from TOWIE) expressed her admiration by saying, “You look stunning, Lydia.” Meanwhile, Scarlett Moffatt offered her warm congratulations with the words, “You are so beautiful. Heartfelt congratulations.

Lydia and her husband Tommy share one daughter, Dottie- May, who they welcomed in 2021.

In 2013, the Essex native Lucy made an attempt at music fame by participating in the hit reality television show, “The X Factor,” produced by Simon Cowell.

During the series the ITV hit premiered its Bootcamp elimination process, the six chair challenge.

Lucy was among the initial participants who didn’t retain their seats during the musical chairs game’s unexpected turn, thus she failed to advance to the Judges’ Houses stage.

In the year 2016, she made an appearance on The Voice UK, eventually finishing the competition in fourth position. Jolan, Cody Frost, and eventual winner Kevin Simm ranked ahead of her.

Following her third-place finish in the program, she earned the nickname “the new Fergie” after sharing a stage with her mentor will.i.am at the Royal Albert Hall in 2016.

Before stepping onto the stage at the venue, Lydia shared her enthusiasm with Daily Mail, saying, “Tonight promises to be fantastic! I can hardly wait.

Fun fact, I was raised on the tunes of The Black Eyed Peas. It feels incredibly unreal and exciting to be here, sharing the stage with Will – such an iconic figure in music.

She handled herself skillfully, embracing her childhood aspirations, while performing alongside Will, rapper Taboo, and Apl.de.ap.

Familiar with the spotlight, she graced the screen on the popular reality series “The Only Way is Essex” the subsequent year, following rumors of a romantic relationship with Ricky Rayment.

Although Lydia persistently worked towards her aspiration of becoming a singer, she eventually confessed that dealing with fame had proven challenging for her. In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, she shared her distress over the abusive online users who sent her threatening messages containing threats against her life.

Following speculation about his role in the split between Ricky and Jessica Wright on TOWIE, the celebrity faced a wave of harsh criticism and threatening messages, including some who sent him ominous warnings.
