Jai Waetford welcomed his first child with partner Bec Donaghy earlier this month.
On Tuesday, Jai tenderly posed with his newborn baby girl in a touching collection of images he shared with his 380,000 fans, clearly filled with love and affection.
‘Everyone meet Aaliyah,’ he began alongside the post.
‘Sorry I been MIA, newborn phase ain’t no joke. Love you all. btw new music coming soon.’
In one image, he was seen admiring her affectionately during dinner, whereas another photo depicted him beaming broadly in a hospital setting, cradling the small newborn against his chest.

In simpler terms, Josh Carroll commented on the post saying, ‘That’s what life is all about. I love you buddy!’ His comment was followed by numerous supportive messages from other reality stars and influencers.
Georgia Hassarati from Love Island posted: ‘Perfectly suited 🎉 Congratulations Jai,’ while Al Perkins, a groom from MAFS, responded with: ‘Thank you, God! Wishing you the best, congratulations buddy!’
Though Jai has largely avoided publicizing his relationship with Bec Donaghy in recent times, a heartfelt post indicates a significant shift and possibly a new phase in the life of the singer who gained prominence in 2013.
They haven’t specified an exact duration, but it seems like Jai and Bec have been together since at least 2023, as that’s when they started appearing on each other’s Instagram profiles.
In July 2023, they made their relationship public on Instagram by posting a tender photo of them expressing affection, which was uploaded to Bec’s account.
In 2013, Jai won over many Australians as he climbed to stardom on The X Factor, earning him the moniker ‘Australian Justin Bieber’.
Impressively, he performed two songs during his audition – Different Worlds by Jes Hudak and an original composition titled Don’t Let Me Go.
In the end, he finished third during the fifth season of The X Factor Australia, and his first single, “Your Eyes,” reached sixth position on the ARIA Singles Chart.

2016 saw him leaving behind his singing journey and embarking on a new path in television. He made his first acting appearance on the show “Neighbours,” portraying the character Angus Beaumont-Hannay.
For nearly 50 episodes, he played the role of Sarah Beaumont’s and Peter Hannay’s son, but then announced his move to Hollywood.
Later, he joined the influential American talent agency Creative Artists Agency, then spent a while in Africa and South America prior to his return to Australia.
Since relocating back Down Under, Jai returned to screens in Stan drama Critical Incident.
