Wynne Evans’ Legal Battle: Can He Save His BBC Radio Job After Controversial Joke?
According to reports, Wynne Evans‘ legal team has prepared a detailed 30-page document that they plan to present during negotiations with the BBC, in an effort to protect his cherished radio position.
In January, the 53-year-old opera singer resigned from the Strictly Come Dancing live tour following criticism for a distasteful comment directed towards co-host Janette Manrara.
Following the recent controversy, it appears that the star’s legal team is working diligently to restore his reputation, as he has temporarily stepped away from his hosting role on BBC Radio Wales.
According to a source, Wynne feels he’s been unfairly treated. Although he acknowledges his words may have been inappropriate, he believes they’ve been misconstrued significantly.
Wynne is backed by a legal team, and he believes that a thick file containing approximately thirty pages will strengthen his argument.
It was painful for him to have to take a step back from his beloved role at BBC Radio Wales, following his dismissal from Strictly.

It is said that the TV personality is due to meet with BBC bosses this week.
Last month, the discussions were supposedly scheduled, but they were postponed because Wynne was grappling with his mental health issues.
The confidant further mentioned that the predicament took a significant toll on Wynne and he is determined to maintain the position, which holds immense value for him.
Listeners on BBC Radio Wales express their admiration for him, going so far as to create social media platforms to demonstrate their backing.
TopMob have contacted representatives of Wynne for comment.
According to reports, the main actor in the Go Compare commercials is said to feel that his good name has been unjustifiably damaged following his apology for an offensive comment he made towards tour host Janette. The controversy arose when footage surfaced of the inappropriate remark during the tour’s press conference launch.
Liz Brookes, his girlfriend, who is 50 years old, is standing by him during the controversy, providing unwavering support to Wynne as he is said to be pursuing legal action against the BBC.
Wynne feels he’s been subjected to an unfair treatment by the BBC, as his “spit-roast” joke was allegedly a well-known nickname for a colleague and considered harmless banter among his Strictly companions.

Wynne offered an apology after it was revealed that he made a distasteful remark about tour host Janette during the tour’s press conference, as video evidence surfaced.
Wynne proposed, in an offensive manner, a threesome involving himself, Janette, and the disrespectful term he used was “spit roast.” Despite this incident, Janette chose not to file a complaint against the singer.
Later on, it was asserted that the suggestive comment wasn’t unexpected among his peers since it was ‘a matter of common knowledge among the experts and famous figures participating in the tour’.
As reported by The Sun, the phrase was frequently noted, chuckled over, and often brought up during the tour.
Supporters of the Welsh opera singer shared with a news outlet that he was deeply troubled because, despite the longstanding jest, nobody stepped forward to support him openly.
As a devoted admirer, I’d say it myself: “I, being naturally humorous, have a knack for filling quiet moments. With me around, expect an endless stream of jokes coming your way from all directions.
‘Some find themselves in a tricky situation, but it’s no more serious than what an average man of about 50 might casually remark.’

In the movie “MoS,” Wynne finds himself among a group of 20 celebrities and dancers, with Janette, the host of Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, being called over to join them. As she makes her way towards them, Wynne, grinning, cautions her, “Stay a bit away from Jamie [Borthwick]!
Later on, he subtly makes a flirtatious expression towards the actor while Janette isn’t looking, as she passes by the two of them. This is when Wynne decides to tell his inappropriate joke about Janette.
Moments pass, and Aljaz Skorjanec, Janette’s dance-partner husband, inquires from where he stood, “Sweetheart, are you alright?” To which she briefly responds, “Yes.
According to Janette’s representative, it appears that the host wasn’t aware of the comment made by Wynne; the reporter, who was recording from about 20 yards away using a mobile phone, picked up on it.
