Wynne Evans Battles BBC, Scandal Fallout, and Finds Support in Loyal Girlfriend Liz Brookes
Wynne Evans was spotted out with his partner, Liz Brookes, marking their first public appearance together since his removal from the Strictly Come Dancing tour.
Liz, aged 50, stands by Wynne during the controversy, providing him with unwavering backing as he allegedly pursues a lawsuit against the BBC.
53-year-old opera singer allegedly feels that his standing has been unjustifiably damaged, following an apology for a distasteful comment directed towards tour host Janette Manrara. The controversy intensified when video footage of the remark was released during the tour’s promotional event.
In the midst of their lively outing, Wynne and Liz appeared cheerful as they walked together, hand-in-hand, returning from the shopping district in Cardiff.
On this excursion, Wynne opted for a relaxed look, wearing a beige sweater and donning a fresh pair of thick-framed glasses with a bright yellow hue.
As an ardent admirer of all things stylish, I, Liz, chose a subtle yet chic ensemble for the day. A soft-hued taupe sweater became my go-to piece, complemented by a timeless Barbour jacket and fitted jeans – a combination that exudes understated elegance.

The couple’s excursion follows the assertion that their relationship has never been stronger. Lately, Liz has been visiting Wynne in his Wales residence, marking a period of difficulty for both of them over the past few months.
According to an insider who spoke to The Sun, Wynne found it extremely difficult when he had to leave the tour and his radio program, which also put pressure on his relationship with Liz.
‘They have now reconnected and Liz is completely supporting Wynne.
After returning to her home in Wales, he and she are undeniably a couple. The recent weeks have been quite turbulent for Wynne, yet having Liz by his side has significantly eased the strain.
Last month, it was first mentioned that Wynne parted ways with his partner following an incident where she felt deeply embarrassed due to his recent scandal. In this scandal, he made an offensive jest in a video that was broadcasted by the Mail on Sunday.
A representative for Wynne has since denied that the couple separated.
Last spring, I found myself stepping into a new romantic chapter, marking the end of a 16-year marital journey.
Regardless of the turbulent period he experienced on Strictly Come Dancing, Liz consistently stood by Wynne during his tenure and could frequently be seen encouraging him from the audience. She also shared a heartwarming photo with him, expressing her happiness and admiration for him, stating that she was ‘proud’ of his achievements.

Previously, it was disclosed that Wynne experienced a significant low point during his bouts of depression, which originated following the 2016 separation from his wife, Tanwen, a Welsh violinist and the mother of his two kids.
The couple initially crossed paths during a British Youth Orchestra workshop, with Wynne taking center stage in a performance of Robinson Crusoe.
Following the divorce, he reluctantly had to depart from the familiar family abode they once called home with their daughter Ismay and son Taliesin, settling instead into a run-down, dismal dwelling with shuttered windows in Cardiff, as it was the only affordable option available at that point in time.
At a post-marriage gathering, Liz became a significant influence in Wynne’s life, inspiring him to embrace fitness and improve his physical condition in preparation for his participation on Strictly.
Wynne feels that he has been mistreated unfairly by the BBC, following reports that his “spit-roast” joke was actually a well-known nickname for a fellow cast member and considered harmless banter among his Strictly colleagues.
It appears that the celebrity known for Go Compare ads is considering filing a complaint against the BBC, alleging that they were unfair in their treatment towards him following his departure from the Strictly Come Dancing live tour.
The planned talks with the channel were supposed to commence shortly, but as per The Sun’s report, they have allegedly been delayed by several weeks.
According to a source, Wynne had planned to discuss with the BBC last week about the allegations against him and potential ways to proceed in the future.
‘Wynne was ready to fight but in recent weeks he has been struggling mentally.

In a later turn of events, Wynne expressed regret for the offensive comment directed towards tour host Janette, once video evidence of this remark was made public during the tour’s press conference.
Wynne casually proposed a threesome involving himself, the host Janette, using a highly disrespectful phrase “three-way spit roast.” Despite this suggestion, Janette chose not to file a complaint against the musician.
It is said that the sexual comment was not unexpected among his associates since it was a fact “widely known by many of the experts and famous figures participating in the tour.
During the tour, the phrase was frequently commented on and often joked about, becoming a common topic of conversation, until Wynne was eventually caught.
Friends of the Welsh opera singer shared with a publication that he is deeply distressed because, despite the ongoing jest, no one stepped forward to support him publicly.
A buddy shared with The Sun that “Wynne has a knack for filling pauses. Naturally humorous, he’s constantly coming up with jokes in every direction when you’re together.
Some may find themselves in a slightly awkward situation, but it’s not any more serious than what an average man of 50 might casually mention.
In the MoS movie, Wynne positions himself among a group of 20 famous personalities and dancers. Suddenly, Janette, host of Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, is called over to join them. As she makes her way towards them, Wynne cautions her with a smile, saying, “Keep your distance from Jamie [Borthwick]!

In that moment, I subtly express my disapproval towards the actor by making a subtle, suggestive gesture, while Janette was passing between us. And it was right then when I, in an attempt to lighten the mood, delivered what could only be described as an inappropriate joke aimed at poor Janette.
A few moments pass, and Aljaz Skorjanec, Janette’s dancer spouse, inquires from a close proximity, “Sweetheart, are you alright?” To which she responds briskly, “Yes.
Janette’s representative stated that the host was not aware of the remark made by Wynne, as our reporter, who was recording from about 20 yards away with a mobile phone, clearly heard it.
Reports indicate that after leaving the tour, Wynne has engaged a crisis public relations advisor and is consulting with a group of legal professionals.
It is believed that high-ups at Go Compare, the insurance company where Wynne has been a face in advertisements since 2009, have convened emergency discussions about his continued association with the brand, and the artist has temporarily withdrawn from his BBC Wales radio program due to the recent controversy.
According to the source, The Sun reports that Wynne stated he would take the case to a tribunal with the BBC and battle tirelessly, using all his strength. Wynne believes he has been unjustly treated and is unwilling to back down without a strong resistance.
It’s clear that Wynne understands the significance of his remark, and it seems even some professional dancers and famous celebrities who joined him in the tour share the same insight, much to his annoyance.
He’s deeply disappointed with how things unfolded, as nobody has come forward in defense of him publicly… The situation was an inside joke that didn’t upset anyone or draw complaints. Wynne feels betrayed by the entire situation and some of his fellow cast members whom he held dear.
Last month, The Mail on Sunday was the one who initially shared the footage of Wynne’s controversial “spit-roast” comment. Though the musician faced a reprimand from tour authorities regarding his behavior, during that time, the BBC didn’t receive any complaints about the incident directly.
When reached out to by The Sun, the BBC chose not to provide a statement. TopMob attempted to get a comment from both Wynne’s and the BBC’s representatives.

Reports indicate that Wynne has engaged legal representation and is contemplating a lawsuit against the BBC, alleging breach of contract and financial losses.
According to a reliable source, The Sun reports that Wynne has not been well this past week, with his brother and business partner taking care of him.
‘He’s appointed an expensive law firm to take advice on potentially losing his jobs.’
According to various accounts, it seems that Wynne’s friends are adamant that he will survive the present scandal and rebound in his career.
As reported by The Mirror, one friend is standing up for the celebrity against the criticism he’s faced, attributing it to Wynne’s allegedly poor sense of humor.
They conveyed to the media outlet: ‘Ultimately, he acted foolishly with a blunder and is receiving intense dislike. Is it warranted for him to be treated so harshly?’ (or)
They communicated to the publication: ‘In summary, his actions were not wise, resulting in a mistake, yet is such scorn appropriate?’
Indeed, his choice of words, specifically “spit-roast,” was undeniably inappropriate, and he acknowledges this mistake. However, it seems he has a knack for humor and often finds himself trying to entertain an audience. This can sometimes border on immature or juvenile comedy, much like the antics of a schoolboy.
My buddy mentioned: ‘Discussion about his career coming to an end seems too soon. In truth, his radio program is quite popular, and he is well-liked by many.’
Wynne confirmed his departure from the Strictly live tour in a grovelling statement.
He mentioned that he has arranged a break from his radio program and the Strictly Live tour, along with other public engagements, to focus on his personal health and wellness.
I genuinely regret any hurt my unsuitable behavior may have inflicted, and I intend to use this period for some introspection.
I’m sorry to those who won’t be able to catch me at the upcoming shows, but I’m truly thankful to my co-travelers on this tour for their incredible support throughout.
Dancing pro Katya Jones, previously paired with Wynne on Strictly Come Dancing, reshared a post adding: “Let’s exhibit kindness and understanding towards each other.
