Wynne Evans Accuses Mail on Sunday of Doctoring His Sex Slur Video

Wynne Evans asserted that The Mail on Sunday distorted or misrepresented the video showing him making an offensive sexual remark about his Strictly Come Dancing partner, Janette Manrara. (Note: This version maintains the original structure and message but uses different synonyms to make it more natural and engaging.)

53-year-old opera singer Evans, currently battling for his career at the BBC, alleged that the newspaper manipulated the context of their private discussions in a Facebook post, stating they had significantly altered the narrative.

After our video revealed that the actor proposed a crude suggestion for a threesome, using a highly disrespectful phrase “spit roast,” toward the dancer, he decided to withdraw from the show’s nationwide tour.

Currently, Evans, who’s temporarily absent from his BBC Wales program, is under scrutiny by the Corporation due to questions about his conduct.

Facebook users expressed their displeasure with Evans’ posts, and they mockingly criticized his efforts to evade accountability for his distasteful comment.

Four months back at Birmingham Arena, during a press conference, when the MoS shared his remarks, Evans did not deny them or claim they were false. Instead, he sincerely apologized to Ms Manrara before departing from the tour.

However, just last month, Evans defended himself in The Sun, explaining that his “spit roast” remark about EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick was actually a humorous reference to Borthwick’s appearance during a warm-up session for Strictly, where he resembled a spit-roasted chicken.

With his recent Facebook post, Evans’ tale has taken another twist. The Metropolitan Police strongly disputes Evans’ most recent assertions.

One Facebook user commented: ‘You made a disrespectful remark about a woman performing her duties, which was captured on video. Therefore, it’s hard to believe that the media could have altered that footage.’

It seems quite clear that you regret getting caught, as there’s evidence to back it up, including your offensive comment. However, isn’t it unfair to point fingers at the media for something that you yourself have done?

Evans replied: ‘The audio was manipulated. I didn’t say what they said.’

Later on, he shared this message: “I appreciate all your support; let me assure you, I’ve acted completely innocently. The media has been distorting and misrepresenting private discussions.

The video captured by MoS reporter Dolly Busby depicts the Go Compare! spokesperson positioned amidst a group of 20 celebrities and performers. As the hostess of the Strictly Come Dancing spin-off show, It Takes Two, Ms Manrara is called upon to join this gathering.

Approaching, Ms. Manrara is cautioned by Evans with a smile, “Stay a bit away from Jamie!” Then, while Ms. Manrara isn’t looking, Evans makes an inappropriate facial expression towards the actor, and as she passes between them, he cracks his offensive joke. This is when Evans makes his distasteful remark.

The outcome of the BBC’s investigation is likely to be revealed within a couple of weeks.
