WWE Women’s Division building momentum after 2025 Royal Rumble
Approaching the 2025 Royal Rumble, there was an increasing apprehension regarding the arrangement of that match. It appeared as though Triple H and WWE Creative were heavily invested in the male division, neglecting the female division in the process. Yet, upon examining the planning of the women’s rumble, there seems to be ample potential for creative developments within the women’s division.
When discussing either of the Rumbles, it’s essential to first focus on the victor. Charlotte Flair made her comeback and emerged as the last competitor standing. Although Flair may not be an exceptionally captivating winner, her rivalry with Tiffany Stratton has the ability to draw interest. Fans might express skepticism, but Flair will continue to be positioned at or near the division’s pinnacle. Will she defeat Stratton at WrestleMania 41? It’s a significant question since Stratton has the potential to become a star for future generations.
Beyond celebrating Flair’s triumph, there are plenty of exciting prospects ahead in the women’s division following this contest.
The highly anticipated comeback of Alexa Bliss will undoubtedly be a hot topic among fans. Though she didn’t stay for long or defeat any opponents during her previous stint, her presence was well-received. Unfortunately, she was eliminated by the joint efforts of Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, which has set up an ideal conflict for Bliss’s return. As a beloved figure among fans, they are eager to see her in a prominent position within the division, involved in significant storylines. Positioning Bliss against Morgan and Rodriguez opens up possibilities for future confrontations.
As I watched Bianca Belair and Naomi go head-to-head in their intense match, it was clear they had a great team dynamic. But when Jordynne Grace and Naomi shared an emotional reunion under the WWE banner, having worked together in TNA Wrestling before, I couldn’t help but wonder if a flicker of jealousy crossed Belair’s face. This moment could be used to fuel not just the growing tension between Belair and Grace, but also the intriguing narrative unfolding among Naomi, Belair, and Jade Cargill.
During the match, the women’s secondary titleholders were actively participating, and they each had tasks to attend to afterwards. Ivy Nile is keen on challenging Lyra Valkyria, and she ensured that the current Women’s Intercontinental champion was eliminated from contention. Chelsea Green has excelled as the Women’s United States Champion. However, her possible separation from Piper Niven may be one step closer following an accidental elimination of the champ by Piper during the event.
It’s hard to overlook Roxanne Perez’s performance in the match that lasted an hour, which suggests a promising debut on the main roster.
The time for WrestleMania is approaching, and with a couple of months left until the annual spectacle, WWE can seize this moment to create significant rivalries and establish key figures within the women’s division. The energy is palpable. Now is the perfect time to make the most of it.
