After appearing on a recent episode of Raw on Netflix, 34-year-old WWE star Alexa Bliss has faced online criticism for allegedly looking older than her age.
I was really surprised to see all the negativity directed at Bliss, whose real name is Alexis Cabrera, after she did that in-ring promo on Monday’s show. It just seemed like a normal segment, and I can’t believe fans are targeting her for it.
A fan noticed the star looked different in a recent photo from Raw and posted it on X (formerly Twitter), asking if anyone else thought she appeared older.
The post quickly became popular online, and many people commented that Bliss looks noticeably different than when she first joined WWE in 2013.
Bliss responded on X, explaining that she’s been working incredibly hard and also taking care of her two-year-old daughter, Hendrix, which has been challenging.
She shared that with such a busy life – constantly working, being a mom, and feeling tired – she’s not surprised her appearance is suffering, especially since she only has one full day a week at home.

Fans flooded the comments section with support for Bliss, with one person writing, ‘You haven’t aged a bit, Alexa! Don’t listen to anyone who says you have – we all love you!’
A second wrote, ‘Meanwhile you still look like you’re in your early twenties, Queen.’
Someone else commented that it’s upsetting to even have to explain why the question wasn’t worth answering, as it came from someone who was easily offended.
This isn’t the first time that Bliss has been attacked over her appearance.
In May, after winning a match against Chelsea Green to earn a spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match, the former Raw Women’s Champion was criticized and referred to as ‘old.’
‘Who let the old lady back in the game???? Chelsea deserved it more,’ wrote the fan.
Seeing some humor in the situation, Bliss responded, ‘BRB – scheduling my Botox appointment.’
Bliss signed with WWE in 2013, joining the company’s developmental brand NXT.

She started performing on the main television show in 2016 and rapidly gained popularity with fans. Within a year, she won the Smackdown Women’s Championship two times.
She was then transferred to the Raw show, where she went on to win the Raw Women’s Championship three times.
She also won the Women’s Tag Team Championship four times, most recently alongside Charlotte Flair.

Outside of the ring, Bliss was a cast member on E!’s wrestling reality series Total Divas.
Last year, Bliss appeared as a contestant on The Masked Singer. More recently, she lent her voice to a character in the anime movie Sakamoto Days.
She married singer-songwriter Ryan Cabrera in 2022 in a Palm Desert ceremony.
They described the wedding as ‘non-traditional’ and ‘rockstar’.
The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Hendrix Rouge, in 2023.
