WWE Raw vignette potentially hints to Pentagon
As a long-time follower of the wrestling world, I can’t help but get excited about the potential arrival of Penta El Zero Miedo to the WWE roster. With 16 years under his belt and a reputation as one of Mexico’s top luchadores, this man has proven time and again that he’s more than just “that crazy guy from Mexico.
The December 16 edition of Monday Night Raw showcased a vignette with a red ‘0’ crossed out. This mysterious symbol left some viewers puzzled about its meaning, but those in the loop with the wrestling world recognized it as a sign for the wrestler famously known as Pentagon or more intimately, Penta El Zero Miedo (Pentagon Zero Fear).
Kenny Omega once labeled Penta as “the madman from Mexico,” which is true to some extent, but it doesn’t encompass the entirety of the highly influential wrestler recognized as one of the most iconic luchadores in the industry today.
Penta, with 16 years in the wrestling industry, has become one of Mexico’s leading figures and a prominent ambassador for Mexican wrestling worldwide. He’s made appearances in significant wrestling promotions like AAA, PWG, TNA, and more recently, All Elite Wrestling. His stint on Lucha Underground may have been his breakthrough moment, where he was scripted as a ruthless villain who wreaked havoc. To see an impressive demonstration of intergender wrestling, revisit his match against Chelsea Green.
Together with Rey Fenix, also known as The Lucha Brothers, they clinched titles across various organizations. Notably, Pentagon was highly regarded as one of the top solo wrestlers from Mexico, and alongside Fenix, they ranked among the elite tag teams in the wrestling world.
Currently, it appears that Penta may be headed to the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). According to Fightful Select, his contract with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is approaching its end and he’s now a free agent. It was also reported that Penta has been in touch with WWE representatives. However, this situation has sparked debate on social media due to the recent complications involving Fenix.
Including Penta in the WWE roster could prove intriguing. He’d make a delightful surprise during the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble, an event that often benefits from unexpected highlights. The rivalry between Pentagon and Rey Mysterio seems ripe for development. Their history, dating back from 2015 to 2018 when they frequently clashed in various Mexican promotions, offers a rich foundation. As per Cagematch, Mysterio has the upper hand in their matches, winning ten out of fourteen encounters. This disparity alone could ignite a significant storyline for Monday Night Raw.
Be on the lookout for further mysterious announcements regarding the Raw segment leading up to the Royal Rumble. Fans are eagerly anticipating what’s next, as there seems to be no apprehension about who might make an appearance.
