WWE NXT Deadline 2024 Predictions: Trick Williams Will BURY Ridge Holland

WWE NXT Deadline 2024 Predictions: Trick Williams Will BURY Ridge Holland

As a lifelong WWE fan who’s witnessed countless twists and turns, I can confidently predict that NXT Deadline 2024 is shaping up to be an electrifying event! With my crystal ball (and a little help from my extensive wrestling knowledge), here are my predictions:

At The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Saturday comes the significant NXT Deadline event. WWE has confirmed five engrossing matches for this showdown, two of which are major title bouts, one unique Underground Match, and the highlight is the tumultuous Iron Survivor Challenge for both men’s and women’s divisions. These challenges will decide the upcoming challengers for the NXT World Titles. In the spirit of excitement, it’s time to delve into the eagerly awaited NXT Deadline 2024 Predictions, where Trick Williams is expected to handily defeat Ridge Holland in an unforgettable bout!

Trick Williams (c) vs. Ridge Holland [NXT Championship]

In simpler terms, it seems likely that Trick Williams will keep his NXT Championship since he just reclaimed it from Ethan Page in October, while Ridge Holland lacks the credentials and momentum needed to win the top title in NXT. His betrayal of Chase University didn’t get much response, and he may be more suited for Tony D’ Angelo’s NXT North American Title instead. It’s highly unlikely that he could outsmart Trick Williams.

Sol Ruca vs. Zaria vs. Guilia vs. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Wren Sinclair [Iron Survivor Challenge]

Stephanie Vaquer and Zaria have proven themselves worthy contenders for the NXT World Title by pinning Roxanne in tag matches. Guilia had her chance to win the NXT World Title against Roxanne but came up short. Wren Sinclair, with her questionable reputation and slow momentum, is considered the least likely to secure a world title opportunity at this point in time, making her a likely target for numerous pins. Sol Ruca, who has earned credibility and maintained momentum, hasn’t had a chance to challenge Roxanne yet but recently disrupted her vacation. As such, she appears to be the strongest contender to emerge victorious in this Iron Survivor Challenge.

Nathan Frzier & Axiom (c) vs. No Quarter Crew [NXT Tag Team Championships]

Nathan Frazier and Axiom have been leading members of the Justice League for a longer time than Batman and Robin. Given that they’re facing off against the underdog team, No Quarter Crew, in their current match, it’s likely their title reign will continue. In wrestling, unconventional duos like Fraxiom are often met with skepticism, especially when their personas don’t seem to fit together well. Moreover, the frequent hints of tension between them without a clear heel turn or betrayal can be frustrating and may appear as an insult to viewers’ intelligence. Therefore, they are expected to retain their titles.

Lola Vice vs. Jaida Parker [NXT Underground Match]

These two ladies are fierce rivals in the NXT Mid Card Division. The winner of their upcoming match could challenge Fallon Henley for the NXT North American Championship next. Right now, Fallon is tangling with Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley, but if she keeps her title against them, she’ll need more good guys (babyface) contenders like Lola Vice. Lately, Lola has switched to being a babyface, so she needs wins to confirm that change and set her sights on Fallon’s title. Since Lola has an MMA background, winning this match will help maintain her credibility.

Wes Lee vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Ethan Page vs. Nathan Frazier vs. Eddy Thorpe [Iron Survivor Challenge]

It’s uncertain whether Oba Femi will step in for Eddy Thorpe due to his injury, but if he does, he would likely be the favorite to win the match. On the other hand, Ethan Page has the least chance of winning, given that he lost the title to Trick and failed to regain it. Nathan Frazier, being a tag team champion, could potentially win only if he gives up his tag titles with Axiom, betrays him, and uses that energy for this match to complete his heel turn.

Eddy Thorpe is the weakest link in this match and has no business earning a world title shot this soon, so he will likely be eating a plethora of pins. Je’Evon Evans is a rising star who definitely deserves this victory after all the compelling in-ring work he has showcased in NXT so far. However, as an underdog, a gradual push with a mid-card championship run would suit him better as it is too early for him to pursue the world title. Wes Lee, on the other hand, has already graduated from the mid-card and would be the perfect option to win this challenge and advance to the main event scene.
