WWE must keep Bronson Reed’s momentum rolling
As a longtime wrestling fan who’s seen more than a few matches and twists in the WWE, let me tell you, the August 5 episode of Raw was nothing short of electrifying! The unexpected annihilation of Seth Rollins by Bronson Reed was not only shocking but also a breath of fresh air. It feels like Reed is finally getting the recognition he deserves as a top-tier talent. Here’s hoping WWE continues to capitalize on this momentum and gives us something truly memorable in the future.
In the August 5 broadcast of WWE Raw, an exhilarating episode unfolded, sparking discussions about its greatness compared to recent ones. However, opinions vary. Nevertheless, a shocking event stood out – Bronson Reed’s unexpected annihilation of Seth Rollins. This surprising turn of events was not anticipated by many, yet it seemed fitting for Reed’s character development. Now, Reed appears as the formidable threat he should be at the top of the roster. To capitalize on this momentum, WWE should build towards a significant future event.
Reed attacked Rollins six times in a dramatic fashion, causing Rollins to cough up blood while the audience celebrated and sang his theme song. Just before this incident, Reed announced his intention to take action to improve his situation, and this seemed like the ideal opportunity. It’s been said that this part of the show was used to temporarily remove Rollins from TV due to a persistent injury. While Rollins is away, Reed must accumulate significant victories to become a real threat to Rollins once he comes back.
There was quite a stir when Reed wasn’t included in the Elimination Chamber a few months ago, especially since the event was scheduled for his home country. Unfortunately, Rollins got injured and Reed became a new father with his partner, making it impossible to accommodate him at that time. Since then, it seems like Reed has been on pause. Fans have been eagerly waiting to see more of him each week, but like many others on the roster, he hasn’t gotten the chance. That changed on August 5.
In this instance, it seemed strikingly similar to the debut of Reed in TNA, where he forcefully pushed Josh Alexander into the canvas. This event paved the way for a powerful career outside the WWE, including stints in New Japan and even defeating Kazuchika Okada in one of their matches there.
Reed possesses the skills needed to become a top villain. However, with Bron Breakker and GUNTHER expected to rule as champions, it’s unclear where Reed fits in during Rollins’ injury. There aren’t many available heroes not tied up in their own stories right now. Jey Uso and Sami Zayn could be potential opponents, but they are gearing up for a significant moment reuniting with Roman Reigns. Maybe Reed can spend some time defeating Rey Mysterio and The LWO properly, winning consistently each week. It would be fantastic if he could get involved in a storyline with CM Punk, which we hope will happen soon.
Audience members and attendees departed buzzing with anticipation regarding Bronson Reed’s future endeavors. His destructive act of shattering a past titlist through the mat has ignited an urgent need for WWE to maintain this momentum, as someone with such potential could pose a significant danger to the entire roster.
