WWE Calls Back Hornswoggle for Surprise WrestleMania Return After 9 Years Away

As WrestleMania 41 approaches, a multitude of wrestlers from both past and present are making their way to Las Vegas for the weekend’s festivities. While not everyone gets the chance to take part in a WWE event, an unexpected name has been added to the roster this year. That’s right, Dylan Postl, formerly known as Hornswoggle when he was a superstar, is set to return and couldn’t be more excited about it!

After parting ways with the WWE in 2016, Postl has been active in independent wrestling circuits and championing for equal rights within entertainment. Now, he’s set to reemerge under his ring name at a significant event – Fanatics’ WWE World. On his social media account, the star opened up about this comeback and its significance to him.

Heading to Las Vegas now, the memories flood back. In 2016, my dream job with WWE ended unexpectedly, and I thought that was the end of the road for me. The first call I made was to my father, and his words still resonate: “Dylan, never burn a bridge.” They gave you a decade to live your dream, he said, and you did it!

For nearly ten years since then, those words have guided me. And now, here I am, not just making appearances, but being asked to be part of WrestleMania week. It’s almost 10 years after my release. This isn’t just any event – this is WrestleMania week!

As I prepare to board the flight with Landon by my side for this surreal journey, I’m cherishing every moment. Whether this is the start of many more adventures or a grand finale, it promises to be an unforgettable experience. For the last nine years, I’ve been known as “Swoggle,” but now, even if just for a few days, it feels amazing to be HORNSWOGGLE again. Can’t wait to meet all of you at The World on Friday! Thanks!

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but feel exhilarated seeing him, lugging his signature Hornswoggle attire, destined for autograph sessions and snapshots at the WWE World. The thought of him being there gets me all pumped up, particularly considering the heartwarming moments I’ve shared with Hornswoggle over the years. There’s one memory in particular that stands out – his iconic Christmas episode, a gem among gems in WWE history. As soon as it hits Netflix, I can’t wait to rewatch it and relive those cherished moments once more.

More On The WWE

Discussions about Roman Reigns’ potential future in the WWE are circulating, yet I believe these comments might not carry the meaning that many people are interpreting.

I strongly advocate for WWE to find a means to reintroduce Hornswoggle into their roster, given his legendary status. I’ve had discussions with the cast of “Big Little Brawlers” about the scarcity of little people in top-tier professional wrestling. Although it’s true that the industry hasn’t always been kind to little people, there is a growing demand for more representation.

Re-introducing Dylan Postl (Hornswoggle) could offer a chance for representation and add some seasoned talent to the WWE’s main roster. In recent wrestling times, we haven’t seen much nostalgia, which might be due to the company focusing on its younger stars. However, if Postl receives a great response at WWE World, it would make sense for the company to consider utilizing him more extensively.

It appears that the WWE is focusing on reintroducing former superstars, with Big E announcing Rusev’s comeback, possibly making an appearance during WrestleMania weekend. I believe there’s merit in this approach; let’s wait and see if the higher-ups share this sentiment, as we might soon witness characters like Hornswoggle back in action within the WWE beyond just fan events.

The spectacular event known as WrestleMania 41 begins on the weekend of Saturday, April 19th, and continues through Sunday, April 20th. Make sure to free up your plans, because this is shaping up to be the most thrilling wrestling weekend of the year – or so we expect!
