WWE Bash at Berlin 2024 Predictions: Gunther Will BURY Randy Orton

WWE Bash at Berlin 2024 Predictions: Gunther Will BURY Randy Orton

As a long-time WWE fan with memories of Attitude Era still fresh in my mind, I can confidently say that Bash in Berlin 2024 is shaping up to be an epic event! The match between Gunther and Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship is particularly intriguing, given their controversial King of the Ring Finals encounter. While I’d love to see a new champion emerge, I think Gunther will retain to solidify his reign and continue the storyline.

The WWE Bash in Berlin 2024 is scheduled for next Saturday in Berlin, Germany. Already confirmed by WWE are two world title matches, as well as a significant feud between Dirty Dom & Liv Morgan against Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley. There’s also strong speculation that CM Punk and Drew McIntyre will engage in a Strap Match, following hints on Raw. Sadly, there are no tag team title matches set for this event, as they haven’t been included in a PPV since Mania 40. However, it’s possible that this could change for this particular PPV, with Sami Zayn and Jey Uso aiming to challenge the current tag team champions, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.

As a fellow gaming enthusiast, let’s dive into my predictions for Bash in Berlin 2024! I can hardly contain my excitement as we gear up for the grand finale – the epic showdown between Gunther and Randy Orton. Get ready to witness history unfolding as Gunther takes down Orton in the main event!

Gunther (c) vs. Randy Orton [World Heavyweight Championship]

In a questionable ending at this year’s King of the Ring Finals, Gunther managed to clinch the crown over Randy Orton, despite Orton’s shoulders being momentarily off the mat. To address this debate, WWE has disregarded the brand split and temporarily shifted SmackDown’s Randy Orton to Raw. This move allows him to confront Gunther for the World Title. Given that Gunther just snatched the title from Damian Priest at SummerSlam and Orton still has outstanding issues with The Bloodline on SmackDown, Gunther is expected to hold onto the title to reinforce his King of the Ring triumph and send Orton back to SmackDown.

Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens [World Heavyweight Championship]

Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens are two wrestlers who hold a deep respect for each other, as they’re both fan favorites (babyfaces). After assisting Rhodes in battling The Bloodline since WrestleMania 39, Owens was granted this title match opportunity by Rhodes. However, despite his past achievements, Kevin Owens might not win the championship here because his current win-loss record doesn’t support a world championship victory at this moment. There are some skeptics who think that Owens may turn heel (villain), but it’s more probable for him to remain a babyface and join forces with Orton to challenge The Bloodline for the tag team titles. Ultimately, it’s predicted that Cody Rhodes will retain the championship.

Judgment Day (c) vs. Sami Zayn & Main Event Jey Uso [World Tag Titles]

Sami Zayn and Main Event Jey Uso have planned to defeat Judgment Day for the Tag Team Championships. Despite Jey Uso narrowly missing out on winning the Money in the Bank match this year, and Sami Zayn losing the IC Title to Bron Breakker at SummerSlam, these well-loved characters will claim a secondary victory by capturing the tag team titles from Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. These two teams, known as the Terror Twins (Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley), don’t necessarily need the titles to continue their narrative, but Sami Zayn and Jey Uso could use the win as a consolation prize. This is expected to be the only title change at Bash in Berlin.

Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley vs. Dirty Dom & Liv Morgan [Mixed Tag Match]

Regarding the infamous Terror Twins, they face Dirty Dom and Liv Morgan, who stunned everyone at SummerSlam when Dom turned on Ripley, aligning with Morgan. As a result of Dom’s betrayal, Ripley lost her world title match at SummerSlam, and Priest lost his match due to Balor’s treachery. At the upcoming mixed tag match, we expect Priest and Ripley to emerge victorious, seeking retribution and another opportunity to claim championship gold during Bad Blood in October. Since Priest has a rematch clause, this win for Ripley against Morgan could earn her another title shot.

CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre [Strap Match]

If you tangle with the Chicago Bull, you’ll face retribution. When Drew McIntyre hurt CM Punk with the Future Shock DDT at this year’s Royal Rumble and actually wished for it, trouble ensued. This match may not have a championship title at stake, but it’s unquestionably and without a doubt the most compelling pro wrestling narrative of the summer. In recent months, as payback for McIntyre’s actions, CM Punk has thwarted Drew McIntyre’s World Title opportunities on four different occasions: (1) WrestleMania 40, (2) the Raw after Mania, (3) Clash at the Castle 2024, and (4) MITB 2024.

At WrestleMania 40, CM Punk screwed Drew McIntyre by hitting him with his arm cast, allowing Damian Priest to capitalize with MITB and take the title away from McIntyre in five minutes. On the Raw after Mania, Punk screwed McIntyre in a number one contender’s match by holding onto his foot, allowing Jey Uso to get a title shot at Backlash. At Clash at the Castle 2024, Punk screwed McIntyre’s opportunity to win the World Title in front of his people in his hometown of Glasgow, Scotland by disguising himself as the referee. At MITB 2024, Punk screwed McIntyre’s MITB Cash-In.

At SummerSlam, Drew McIntyre emerged victorious to avenge previous slights from Punk. Yet, this rivalry is far from over; the trilogy is set up for CM Punk to make a triumphant return to the WWE. The upcoming match seems destined for Punk’s victory, as he seeks to regain his lost ground following SummerSlam and settle scores with McIntyre. Moreover, Punk aims to exact revenge on McIntyre for causing him to miss a potential WrestleMania main event due to an injury at the Rumble, as well as for taking away his cherished bracelet inscribed with AJ Lee and Larry’s names.
