WWE 2K23 Servers Have Shut Down Today Leaving WWE 2K24 As the Only Entry With Online Functionality
Today, the online servers for WWE 2K23 have been closed down, meaning that only WWE 2K24 within the 2K wrestling series currently supports online play.
Effectively, as WWE 2K23’s servers were shut down completely, it is no longer possible to download or share user-generated content within the game. Additionally, playing online Player vs Player matches is now impossible. This change took effect in November when the main game and its additional content were taken offline.
Despite being able to play WWE 2K23 offline, the fact that the servers for it are being shut down less than two years after its release isn’t a great sign for future iterations like WWE 2K24. You can probably anticipate that game going offline sometime next year. As for WWE 2K25, it should be released later this year.
Meanwhile, WWE Raw makes its Netflix debut today, too.
