Wuthering Waves has announced when its version 3.0 update will be released. While the current version 2.8 is still live, the developers have already revealed details about the upcoming patch. This is set to be the game’s largest update yet, generating a lot of excitement. We’ve gathered information about the new content, and this article will provide a quick overview of both leaked details and confirmed features.

Let’s quickly review what was new in version 2.8. Hopefully, you’ve already had a chance to check out those updates! Now, we’re excited to announce that version 3.0 will be available in the game on December 25th, 2025.

Two New five-star Resonators will be available

With each game update, players are eager to discover the new resonators. The upcoming 3.0 update will introduce two resonators, and both will be the highest rarity – five-star.

Lynae (5-Star)
Mornye (5-Star)

Lynae is currently the most talked-about resonator. Her unique ability to explore the map with a fiery motorcycle creates a really powerful and dynamic presence. It’s not just a visual effect; her motorcycle actually lets her move around and support her team effectively.

The other playable character, Mornye, uses a Fusion Broadblade. Based on her weapon, she’s likely a damage dealer (DPS). Additionally, the game will be bringing back some characters in two separate phases.

Phase 1: Cartethyia, Ciaccona
Phase 2: Augusta, Iuno

Wuthering Waves Version 3.0 Update will bring new Main Quests

In addition to the resonators, the game will feature main quests. We don’t have details about these quests yet, but we’ll share them here as soon as we learn more.

WuWa Version 3.0 Update brings new Weapons, Echoes, and Sonata Effect

With each game update, we add new weapons and special effects called ‘echoes,’ and this update will continue that trend. We’ll be highlighting the new resonators and the unique weapons that come with them. More details will be revealed soon.

We haven’t gotten many details about upcoming releases, but there’s talk of a new set called ‘Echo’ being on the way.

Hallo of Starry Radiance

2-piece bonus: Healing Bonus + 10%
5-piece bonus: When a resonator heals an ally, every 1% of Off-Tune Buildup Rate grants +0.2% All-Attribute DMG Bonus to all Resonators in the team (up to +25%) for 4s.

Ride of Gilded Revelation

2-piece bonus: Spectro DMG + 10%
5-piece bonus: Dealing Basic Attack DMG increases Spectro DMG by 10%, stacking up to 3 times for 5s. And, at 3 stacks, casting Resonance Liberation grants +40% Basic Attack DMG Bonus.

Sonata Effects

As a Wuthering Waves player, I’m really excited about Sonata Effects – those set bonuses that give you awesome stat boosts! The developers are adding even more with the next update, but they’re keeping everything under wraps for now. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for any news, and you should too – we’ll want to know what these new effects do as soon as possible!
