Wuthering Waves Version 2.4 Update brings new Banners
In the customary fashion, the update labeled as version 2.4 is scheduled to release in two distinct stages, catering to both fresh and recurring players. During this phase, you’ll have the opportunity to acquire potent characters that will significantly enhance your gaming experience.
Phase I Banners – Dance in the Storm’s wake

- 5-Star Resonator: Cartethyia (new)
- 4-Star Resonators: Aalto, Baizhi, and Youhu.
Phase II Banners – Roar of Triumph

- 5-Star Resonator: Lupa (new)
- 4-Star Resonators: Chixia, Sanhua, and Taoqi.
In the Version 2.4 update of Wuthering Waves, we’ll see two brand-new, top-tier characters joining the fray: Carthethyia and Lupa. Each of them will have a turn in the spotlight across two phases of their respective banners. Carthethyia is an Aero Resonator who wields her unique sword, while Lupa is a Fusion Resonator who employs her distinctive broadblade.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.4 Update brings new Main Quest
In the forthcoming update, you’ll find that the game has incorporated Main Quests for the freshly introduced characters, Carthethyia and Lupa, spread across Act I and Act II of Chapter II.

- Chapter II Act V – Shadow of Glory.
- Chapter II Act VI – Flames of Heart.
You’ll also get the chance to grab new outfits of your favorite Resonators, such as:

- Changli’s Deluxe Outfit: Laurel Nymph
- Carlotta’s Deluxe Outfit: Splashing Summer
WuWa Version 2.4 brings new Sonata Effects
Two new Sonata Effects are coming to the game with the version 2.4 update, which are as follows:
Windward Pilgrimage
- 2 Piece Set: Aero DMG + 10%.
- 5 Piece Set: By hitting a target with Aero Erosion, you can increase Crit Rate by 10%, while gaining 30% Aero DMG Bonus, which lasts for 10s.
Flaming Clawprint
- 2 Piece Set: Fusion DMG +10%.
- 5 Piece Set: By casting Resonance Liberation, you can increase Fusion DMG of your Resonators in the team by 15%, and your Resonance Liberation DMG by 20%, which lasts for 35 seconds.
WuWa Version 2.4 Update brings new Weapons, Echoes, and Echo Aspects
In addition to the introduction of Resonators, this latest upgrade will also unveil fresh weapons designed specifically for the new characters highlighted in the approaching banner releases.
New 5-Star Weapons
- Defier’s Thorn: Signature weapon for Cartethyia.
- Wildfire Mark: Signature weapon for Lupa.
2.4 New Echoes List
Echoes are needed to enhance your Resonators’ abilities, and here are the new ones:

New Phantom Echoes
Phantom Echoes are rare variations of Echoes in Wuthering Waves.

New Echo Aspect
In Version 2.3, we’ve added a fresh feature called Echo Aspect. With this, you can modify the way your Resonator moves, either its Glide or Flight mechanism. Here are some new Echo Aspects you can get from unique events:
Echo Aspect is a novelty in Version 2.3; it allows you to tweak your Resonator’s movement settings, whether it’s the Glide or Flight configuration. Here are some new Echo Aspects that can be acquired from special events:
- Premium Aspect: Dawn upon Thorns (Glide)
- Premium Aspect: Dawn upon Thorns (Flight)
- Exploration Aspect: Moment of Triumph (Flight)
WuWa Version 2.4 New Map Areas to explore
This upcoming update will unveil a novel region named Septimont, boasting an alien-like appearance. By incorporating this new area, players will have the chance to delve into a brand-new setting teeming with obstacles and tales.

New Special Events and Challenges arriving with WuWa Version 2.4 Update
In the upcoming update, the game will roll out several events such as the “Grand Opening Gift” event, where you can receive 10 Radiant Tides just by logging into the game. Here’s a brief rundown of each event:

Optimizations coming with the Wuthering Waves Version 2.4 update

- In-game Guide Depot: You’ll be able to find more information on how to build your Resonators and set up optimum team comps.
- Focus Mode: With the main quest focus mode, no Resonator or location will become unavailable as you progress through a quest.
- Global Filter: Now added for PC, PS5, and Mac, it lets you select a filter on the Global Filter page and adjust the intensity of the filter. You can adjust in-game visuals, although cutscenes and UI elements won’t be affected.
- Main Quest Fast Track Event: The devs have optimized the Next Stop: Rinascita event. Thanks to this, you can now directly go to Rinascita and start experiencing Version 2.0 content by activating Jinzhou’s Resonance Nexus during the Main Quest.
