Wuthering Heights star Jacob Elordi storms into the lead as favourite to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond

Jacob Elordi is now the frontrunner to become the next James Bond, taking over from Daniel Craig.

The 28-year-old actor, known for his role in Wuthering Heights, is celebrating the positive reception of Emerald Fennell’s new film adaptation, where he plays the character of Heathcliff.

And his surging popularity appears to have impacted his odds at becoming the next James Bond.

Just last week, Jacob was a long shot at 14/1 to become the next James Bond, but he’s now the frontrunner to replace Daniel Craig in the upcoming film.

Following the premiere of Wuthering Heights on Friday, Jacob became the new frontrunner with bookmaker William Hill, at odds of 4/1. He surpassed Callum Turner, the English actor who was previously favored but whose odds have now shifted from 7/10 to 6/4.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Theo James round off the top four in the running.

In the last 12 hours, most bets have been placed on Jacob, with 56% of bettors supporting him.

Oddschecker has significantly improved Jacob’s chances, shortening his odds from 6/1 to 5/4 overnight. This now makes him the new frontrunner, ahead of Callum, who was previously the favorite.

As a lifestyle and entertainment expert, I’m keeping a close eye on the James Bond odds, and things have shifted dramatically in the last day! Jacob Elordi is now the clear frontrunner to be the next 007, according to William Hill’s latest data. It’s a big change, and definitely something Bond fans are buzzing about.

Last month, Jacob Elordi wasn’t a strong contender for the part, but his odds dramatically improved from 14 to 1 to 4 to 1 last week after the premiere of ‘Wuthering Heights’.

The betting odds have shifted again this morning, and Australian actor is now the favorite to be the next James Bond, replacing Callum Turner as the frontrunner. He’s currently at 5/4 odds, while Turner is at 6/4.

Following the success of ‘Wuthering Heights’, Margot Robbie is now a strong contender to play the next Bond girl, with current odds at 6 to 1.

According to Oddschecker’s Chris Rogers, Jacob Elordi is now the favorite to be the next James Bond, surpassing previous frontrunner Callum Turner. Elordi’s odds have significantly shortened from 6/1 to 5/4, while Turner’s have dropped to 6/4.

Over the past 12 hours, bettors have overwhelmingly supported Elordi, with 56% of all bets placed on the actor known for his role in ‘Frankenstein’.

Callum Turner remains a popular choice to play the role, and betting indicates he’s the second favorite behind Jacob Elordi, with 20% of the votes.

Wuthering Heights earned a strong $76.8 million (about £56 million) worldwide during its opening weekend.

Emerald Fennell’s new romantic drama reimagines Emily Brontë’s classic novel, starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi as the ill-fated lovers Catherine and Heathcliff.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always keeping an eye on what’s trending, and the numbers are in on that recent film everyone’s talking about! It absolutely crushed the box office, bringing in $34.8 million across North America in just its opening weekend. That makes it the biggest film release of the year so far – quite a statement!

According to PostTrak polling, an estimated 76 per cent of those ticket buyers were women.

Total sales could reach $40 million by the end of the Presidents Day holiday on Monday, across all 3,682 store locations.

The movie reportedly cost $80 million to make, but that doesn’t include the additional millions spent on advertising and getting the word out.

If the film earns around $82 million worldwide this weekend, it’s off to a great start. Plus, it’s still set to open in several major markets, including Japan and Vietnam on February 27th, and China on March 13th.
