We’ll likely remember Wuchang: Fallen Feathers as one of the best Soulslike games. It offered a compelling story, impressive variety, and challenging combat, all wrapped up in a fresh and engaging gameplay experience that really set it apart.
Our review praised the game for being safe and well-made, and it looks like many players feel the same way since its release. Digital Bros, the company that now owns the game, has thanked the five million people who have joined a passionate community around it. They’ve also released special artwork to celebrate, which fans will definitely want to keep.
I was so thrilled to hear the game’s doing well, but I’m a little disappointed there aren’t any plans for extra content or DLC right now. Seriously, Fallen Feathers has such an amazing world and fun combat – I’d love to see more of it! Hopefully, we’ll get to play as Wuchang again someday; he’s a character I really want to revisit if the opportunity arises.
Now that 505 Games owns the game’s rights, there’s hope for a sequel in the future, and hopefully it will include some of the original developers who previously worked at Leenzee. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
