According to IGN, this cooperative action RPG lets up to four players band together to vanquish the Deceiver and safeguard Shaolin, the home of Wu. The game design is a blend of Afro-surrealism and anime, accompanied by a soundtrack featuring tracks from the Wu-Tang Clan’s library and fresh beats by Just Blaze.
The video game was originally conceived as a companion piece for Ghostface Killah and RZA’s forthcoming horror movie titled “Angel of Dust.” In a statement, Ghostface Killah expressed his excitement, saying, “The creation of ‘Angel of Dust’ has been an amazing journey. Transforming the story into a film was just the start. Now, with the introduction of the video game, we are taking fans further into this chilling supernatural world. It’s about merging music, narrative, and interactive elements. I can hardly wait for fans to delve into the shadows and uncover what lies hidden beneath.
The sequel to “Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style,” released in 1999, is titled “Rise of the Deceiver.” This game, developed by the Wu, stars characters inspired by the group themselves and chronicles their journey as martial artists learning under Master Xin.
