World record for no sleep: Can this streamer beat it?
As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of extraordinary feats. However, when it comes to attempting the world record for no sleep, I must say it’s not worth the risk, and certainly not something I would ever dare to do.
This streamer is trying to break the world record for no sleep.
Is there a world record out there that everyone dreams of breaking at some point, yet one may question if certain records are worth attempting? For internet personality Norme, breaking the world record for staying awake has transformed into a personal quest, which he’s currently pursuing live on his streaming platform.
But is such a challenge actually worth attempting to complete?
Norme, a YouTube streamer, attempts to beat world record for no sleep
1) For more than 12 consecutive days, the streamer has remained active on his YouTube channel, not taking even a moment’s rest. At the point when this article was written, he had stayed awake for an impressive 239 hours.
At this point, Norme has passed only half of the current world record for going without sleep, a feat achieved by Robert McDonald in 1986 when he abstained from sleep for 19 days (approximately 453 hours and 40 minutes).
Norme maintains his active lifestyle by chatting, consuming caffeine, gaming, and engaging with friends who assist in keeping him alert as he strives to break the world record.
During his live broadcast, various friends took turns supporting him when he stumbled and engaging in conversation with him throughout the stream. They were all rotating their duties so that they could ensure he stayed awake.
A few individuals assisting him during the live-stream have voiced their concern about his wellbeing, as they’re aware of the potential risks associated with prolonged lack of sleep. To be precise, Norme appears to be delirious for much of the stream, often speaking incoherently when attempting to communicate.
Is attempting the world record for no sleep safe?
Indeed, sleep is essential for our bodies. Going without sleep for an entire night can be detrimental to our health. Just because one person managed to stay awake for 19 days doesn’t imply it’s safe or advisable for everyone else to do the same.
It’s clear that what Norme is engaging in is very risky and may even be fatal. Let’s hope the broadcaster reconsiders and quits soon, for their own safety.
