Matt Bevilacqua, the world-renowned Ironman athlete, has shared exciting news: the birth of his first child, a handsome baby boy named Beau Peter Bevilacqua.
On May 28th, the 33-year-old and his spouse, professional Ironwoman athlete Brielle Cooper (age 26), welcomed their baby boy to their family on the Gold Coast. They are currently enjoying their new life together as a family of three.

Matt couldn’t hide his excitement about becoming a dad for the first time.
He shared with The Mercury that we bathed him the previous night, and it seemed like he was very comfortable in the water, which is exactly what you’d expect from him.
In 2018, the pair who gained notoriety by both winning iron championships on the same day now affirm that the bliss of parenthood surpasses all else.
Matt expressed, “This sensation is simply incredible! Becoming a father was something I never thought I could fully grasp.
The baby’s middle name, Peter, holds a deeply personal significance.
It honours Matt’s late grandfather, Peter Bevilacqua, who passed away in March this year.
Peter, a former Carlton VFL footballer and respected teacher, was a towering figure in Matt’s life.
The couple also revealed that Beau was conceived through advanced genetic IVF technology.

The choice was made to avoid transmitting Matt’s uncommon skin disorder, epidermolysis bullosa (EB), which makes his skin prone to blistering and tearing.
Matt, acting as an advocate for Debra Australia, expressed gratitude for the assistance he encountered during the entire procedure.
Matt shared how EB significantly influenced his personal voyage, guiding him towards the realm of surf sports as donning football boots grew increasingly uncomfortable and painful for him.
The couple are now enjoying their first days at home with their new arrival.
