For newcomers, Hunter x Hunter (HXH) is created by Yoshihiro Togashi, the well-known author of YuYu Hakusho. The manga has frequently paused publication since 2006 due to the author’s health, which is disappointing for long-time fans like myself. Despite this, it’s still a hugely popular anime, and his recent resumption of work has created a lot of excitement again.

Players will get to experience intense Boss battles, enjoy new illustrations, and more

From the trailer, the controls appear simple to learn, but still allow for thoughtful choices when creating your team and combining everyone’s abilities. I’m particularly excited to see how the boss battles play out, as they’re aiming for the same thrilling combat experience that HXH is known for.

However, I’d like to see the gameplay be a little different, particularly because this series has enough substance to support games like Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade or Solo Leveling: ARISE. I recognize that roguelite games are currently popular, and I think the updated artwork will help compensate for any differences.

Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Survivor is coming to Android and iOS devices worldwide in 2026. The game isn’t available in app stores just yet. Keep an eye out for further news!
