Wonder Woman’s Lynda Carter unleashes woke rant about ICE ‘madness’ amid LA riots
Actress Lynda Carter, known for her role as Wonder Woman, passionately criticized ICE and voiced support for immigrants during a surprising outburst on social media, coinciding with the intense Los Angeles protests.
On a Wednesday post on Blue Sky, the renowned actress, aged 73, shared that her grandmother was an unregistered immigrant from Mexico. Expressing concern, she declared, “This chaos needs to end,” as the City of Angels is still grappling with protests and riots.
Last week, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted operations in Los Angeles, taking individuals away from their workplaces and holding them for potential deportation. However, it’s important to note that some of these individuals are actually U.S. citizens.
‘Reminder that I AM LATINA AND PROUD,’ her post began.
I’m a descendant of immigrants, with my grandmother being one who came to this country illegally from Mexico when she was just a baby.
‘My mother was a fierce, gorgeous Latina woman of Mexican and Spanish descent.’

In another message, she emphasized, ‘Immigrants constructed our nation. Beyond those native to the U.S., everyone here is an immigrant in some way or another. The insanity needs to end.’
Her supporters concurred with her sentiment, as one put it succinctly: ‘Wonder Woman has voiced her opinion. Case closed.'” or “Her followers agreed, one encapsulating it perfectly: ‘Wonder Woman has spoken, and that wraps it up.’
Several other commentators pointed out that her message failed to recognize the numerous individuals who arrived in the United States as enslaved persons.
‘Juneteenth right around the corner, you should delete this,’ one person commented.
A different user stated, ‘We aren’t the descendants of enslaved people or convicted felons transported here. Mostly, we’re settlers enjoying benefits derived from actions performed on our behalf, unless there’s something I’m not aware of.’
Last Friday, the unrest in Los Angeles started as protests against ICE took advantage of several law enforcement operations happening throughout the city.
Peaceful protests soon escalated into rampages, resulting in the plundering of downtown stores, a significant highway being obstructed, and cars being torched.
Since Saturday, the Los Angeles Police Department has carried out approximately 400 arrests or detainments, with the large majority being due to individuals not complying with law enforcement’s requests to vacate the area, as reported by the department itself.

There have been several grave accusations, such as attacking police officers, having a Molotov cocktail, and carrying a firearm.
Approximately nine law enforcement personnel have sustained injuries, most of which are minor. A few of them were taken to a medical facility for treatment and subsequently discharged.
Demonstrations inspired by the Los Angeles protests have led people from different parts of the nation to march on city streets, and anti-ICE rallies have sprung up in over a dozen significant urban areas.
Last month, Lynda was honored by The Paley Center for Media at the gala.
She’s marking the 50-year milestone for the Wonder Woman TV show that aired from 1975 to 1979.
She also returned to the franchise in 2020’s Wonder Woman 1984 with Gal Gadot as Diana.
She first appeared on screens as Wonder Woman almost five decades ago.
In 1972, Lynda was named Miss USA, yet she only had $25 in her account when she secured the role of Wonder Woman in 1975. This television character remained hers until 1979.
