“Woman of the Moment
Actress Anna Kendrick, who is known for her Academy nominations, takes on both acting and directing roles in this film for the first time. She assumes the lead character of Cheryl Bradshaw. Furthermore, it’s Ian McDonald who crafted the screenplay for this production. In the movie, Daniel Zovatto, famous for his role in “The Pope’s Exorcist”, portrays Rodney Alcala, a notorious serial killer.
The rest of the talented cast is made up of Nicolette Robinson, Tony Hale, Kathryn Gallagher, Kelley Jakle, Autumn Best, Jessie Fraser, Taylor Hastings, Jedidiah Goodacre, and Darcy Laurie.
The intriguing preview shows what seems like Cheryl and Rodney’s first date, possibly the one Rodney won after his stint on ‘The Dating Game’. Initially, the date goes smoothly, but it soon takes a disturbing turn as Cheryl observes unusual actions from Rodney. As the evening concludes, Cheryl attempts to hastily leave for her car, but Rodney persists in accompanying her on foot.
The situation becomes quite odd when Rodney inquires if Cheryl could recite her phone number again for his confirmation. It’s clear at this point that the number she initially provided was false. Despite this, Cheryl heads towards her car, yet Rodney persists in trailing behind her from a distance. Dramatic music cue!
