The story will see Wolverine investigating a missing mutant and the history of the Weapon X Program, while also battling an enhanced version of the dangerous villain, Nuke – who promises to be a formidable opponent.

In the first issue of Marvel’s Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon, Logan is pulled into a search for a kidnapped mutant by an old friend. This investigation uncovers that the dangerous practices of the former Weapon X program are still ongoing. As Wolverine tracks the wild Tyler – and confronts his own painful past – he’s caught in a dangerous competition with PRIMEWARRIOR, a company creating super-soldiers, who have recently employed a powerful and enhanced foe: NUKE!

Nuke first appeared in the 1986 Daredevil comic book, issue #232, created by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli. Originally named Frank Simpson, his life took a dark turn when Logan (Wolverine) forcibly removed him from his wealthy but abusive family. This event, combined with Logan’s own brainwashing under the Weapon X Program, led to Frank being drafted into Project Homegrown. There, he was turned into Weapon VII – a ruthless and violent super soldier. Since then, Nuke has been involved in many significant comic storylines, but he consistently returns to his primary goal: hunting the mutant hero who inadvertently set him on this path.

Fans can look forward to another thrilling adventure with Wolverine in 2026! The new series, Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon, will delve into different eras of Logan’s life – from his military service and escape from the Weapon X Program, to a brand new, never-before-seen period in the 1970s where he tracked down serial killers. The first issue of Logan: Black, White & Blood #1 is scheduled to hit comic book stores on January 14th.
