On a festive note, Winona Ryder and Jenna Coleman appeared cheerful as they made their way to The Corinthia Hotel in London, preparing for the UK premiere of their upcoming film, Beetlejuice 2, on Thursday.
As I, a dedicated admirer, stepped out of our hotel, my esteemed co-star and I, aged 52 and 21 respectively, offered warm greetings to our adoring fans. We had just touched down from Venice following the thrilling 81st Film Festival.
Winona maintained a low profile, donning a blue bucket hat, sunglasses, and sporting a set of oversized headphones around her neck after the flight.
She presented herself elegantly in an over-sized navy blazer that harmonized with her trouser outfit, along with trainers, while being escorted indoors by her security detail.
On Wednesday, the star of “Meanwhile,” Jenna, exuded casual elegance in a chic white-and-black striped sweater paired with classic blue denim pants.
With her hair flowing freely in its long, straight style, the actress moved about carrying her items in a sleek black bag and keeping a striking red coat slung over her shoulder.
At the same time, Justin Theroux sported a laid-back style in a grey sweater and a cap, pausing to sign autographs for eager fans who were waiting.
In simpler terms, as the flight ended, Director Tim Burton hurried towards the hotel entrance with a big backpack in hand, while Monica Bellucci, his companion, took a moment to chat with well-wishers before following him.
Monica appeared stunning, wearing a white shirt beneath a black waistcoat and coordinating pants.
The actors from the Beetlejuice sequel were seen leaving Venice’s Marco Polo airport the next day, having walked the red carpet at the city’s film festival only a day prior.
At the glamorous event with a red carpet filled with stars, Winona gracefully handed over the responsibility to Jenna, and they both struck poses together during the premiere of Beetlejuice 2.
In the new Beetlejuice sequel directed by Tim Burton, Winona is once again playing Lydia, a role she originally took on when she was 16 years old in the 1988 movie. This time around, Jenna is portraying Lydia’s daughter, Astrid Deetz.
Winona exuded elegance, donning a chic ensemble consisting of a sleek black cropped jacket paired with a matching vest, both worn over a crisp white blouse. She accentuated the look with a long, netted skirt that flowed dramatically.
Wrapping an arm around my beloved Jenna, I stood proudly beside her, my own dark locks styled sleekly into an elegant updo. The camera flashed as we posed, with her stunning in a bold, crimson cut-out dress that dared to captivate the eyes of all who beheld it.
Jenna looked incredibly glamorous as she went braless under the ruffled thin-strapped ensemble which she teamed with towering heels and a dazzling necklace.
As they strolled down the crimson carpet, the fellow actors couldn’t hide their grins. They posed together first, then joined the rest of the ensemble to take a team photo prior to the grand unveiling.
Previously, Jenna mentioned about collaborating with Winona: “From the very beginning, she was incredibly friendly, kind, and welcoming. I feel nothing but gratitude,” she shared with The New York Times.
At a point when my professional path was shifting unexpectedly, I hadn’t recognized it yet, but I needed someone who could empathize with me. In hindsight, I did. She went on to mention that she was experiencing a significant transition phase in her life following her sudden rise to fame on Netflix’s Wednesday series.
Earlier, Winona expressed that it was challenging for her to envision a sequel because she visualized her character living a solitary life in an attic.
In conversation with Slash Film, she expressed that she hadn’t envisioned Lydia having kids or being in a relationship. Instead, she imagined Lydia growing older while staying isolated, perhaps spending most of her time in the attic contentedly, yet solitary.
In the follow-up to the 1988 timeless comedy hit, Michael Keaton, aged 72, and Tim have joined forces once more. This time around, Keaton will return to his iconic character, the profane spirit in the movie’s title role.
It’s been some time since the incidents depicted in the initial movie, and currently, Lydia Deetz, played by Winona, is a parent to a teenager named Astrid, portrayed by Jenna.
In a surprising turn, Tim openly admitted that the less-than-satisfactory response to his Disney-produced, big-budget remake of Dumbo had led him to ponder quitting movie-making altogether.
However, his spirits were renewed following the production of Wednesday, a spin-off from the Addams Family series, for Netflix the previous year.
He mentioned that he’s felt somewhat disappointed with the movie industry over the past few years. In essence, he found that if he wants to pursue anything else, it needs to come from his heart – it should be something he truly desires.
Winona, Michael, and I would catch up approximately every few years, often discussing the possibility of working on Beetlejuice again. However, my enthusiasm was revitalized by the character of Wednesday. Roaming through the Carpathian Mountains in Romania seems to have an invigorating effect on a person.
He mentioned that he hadn’t seen the initial movie prior to filming the follow-up, yet aimed to preserve its essence throughout the production process.
Jenna said that she had joined a ‘team of giants’ on the film and added: ‘For me it was about making sure that I wasn’t ripping off Winona’s work back in the day, and making something new.’
Winona expressed her joy at reuniting with everyone, describing the occasion as truly unique. Her affection and faith in Tim are profound, and there’s an element of fun where they attempt new things, knowing that if it doesn’t work out, he won’t utilize it.
