I’ve been waiting a long time for this – after 37 movies, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has finally given us the Fantastic Four! This new film, ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps,’ takes place on a cool, retro Earth back in 1964, and it’s all about watching Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm (the Human Torch), and Ben Grimm (the Thing) team up to save their world from a seriously scary cosmic being called Galactus. Honestly, forget everything you remember about the previous attempt – this reboot is a blast!
You can now purchase the film on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD. Special features include commentary from director Matt Shakman and production designer Kasra Farahani, plus three behind-the-scenes featurettes (totaling 32 minutes) exploring the creation of the family dynamic, the visual effects for Galactus and the Silver Surfer, and the film’s unique retro-futuristic style. There are also five deleted scenes and a blooper reel.
