William and Kate slope off for a ski break in the French Alps

Prince William and Princess Kate recently took a low-key vacation to the upscale ski resort of Courchevel in the French Alps, sources confirm.

The royal couple recently dined at an exclusive restaurant in the mountains, where even a simple ham and cheese sandwich is surprisingly expensive – around €85 (or £74) – because it’s made with truffle oil.

‘They had a very nice time and were very polite,’ a member of staff tells me.

Other restaurant patrons noticed the future King and his wife, who were dressed smartly in ski clothes, and took pictures as they left after enjoying their meal.

I was grabbing lunch when I nearly fell over – Kate and William were there! It was so surreal. They looked absolutely lovely, all cozy in their beanie hats. I couldn’t help but smile seeing them so relaxed and adorable.

Courchevel is a glamorous ski resort often called ‘the Saint Tropez of the slopes’. It’s famous for its high-end experiences, including Michelin-star dining, luxury shopping, and attracting well-known visitors like George Clooney and the Beckhams.

It’s unknown if Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis accompanied their parents on their ski trip last month.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their older children first vacationed in the French Alps in 2016. They’ve returned several times for private getaways at luxurious resorts.

Last year, the family enjoyed a ski trip with relatives of the Princess and were seen having a meal at a restaurant on the slopes. One source described it as a fun, relaxed gathering.

 

 Mary’s not digging it

Lady Mary Charteris is frustrated that her vacation in the luxurious Kenyan resort of Lamu has fallen apart – yet again.

She initially complained about a stack of makeup packages accumulating at her house while she was on vacation, and now she’s upset that construction noise is disturbing her time off.

Mary noticed construction happening right next to the hotel – a digger was moving large rocks. She expressed her disappointment, saying she wasn’t informed about the work and felt she hadn’t gotten what she paid for.

 

 A red carpet shot for the puparazzi

Last week, Irish actress Alison Oliver brought a cute dog to a red carpet event instead of her boyfriend, actor Josh O’Connor.

At the premiere of the new ‘Wuthering Heights’ film, I spotted the lovely Olivia Oliver – she plays Isabella Linton, you know – and she was absolutely adorable holding onto her co-star, Bubble! Bubble is a sweet little orange Pomeranian who clearly stole the show, and Oliver seemed so fond of him. It was a really heartwarming moment!

The dog playing Fanny, Isabella’s pet in the movie, stole the show at the screening. Even Margot Robbie made sure to give her some attention, as seen in the photo.

I wonder if Tobias Menzies – known for his role as Prince Charles in The Crown – is a little envious. He and Alison Mosshart were first seen together in Bologna, Italy, back in November 2024.

During the premiere, 28-year-old Ms. Oliver shared a surprising story: her wig briefly caught fire on set while filming a romantic scene with Jacob Elordi. It was a bit of a fiery moment!

 

No 1 with a mullet 

Model Cara Delevingne has been through numerous hairstyles, including a shaved head in 2018. 

She’s now sporting a new look: the mullet. The socialite shared a photo of her shaggy, brown hair – styled short in the front and long in the back – on Instagram, and her celebrity friends have been very supportive.

Actress Florence Pugh exclaimed, ‘I love this on you!’ and singer Paloma Faith quickly agreed, simply saying, ‘Love it.’

 

Go Batty for Scarlett

For months, there have been rumors that Scarlett Johansson might be in the next Batman movie.

I can now confirm the reports are true: my sources have seen the 41-year-old star filming at Warner Bros. Studios near Watford.

Okay, so I’m completely devastated, but apparently Zoe Kravitz – my absolute favorite Catwoman, seriously, she was incredible with Robert Pattinson in the last movie – isn’t going to be in the next Batman film! I just… I can’t even believe it. It feels like a huge loss, honestly. I was so hoping for more of their chemistry!
