As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Willem Dafoe and Giada Colagrande’s red carpet moment at the Venice Film Festival was nothing short of enchanting. The couple’s 19-year marriage seems to be as vibrant and timeless as a classic Italian romance novel.

At the Venice Film Festival on Wednesday, Willem Dafoe and his wife, Giada Colagrande, radiated joy like never before as they struck poses on the Beetlejuice red carpet.

In the new Tim Burton sequel, the 69-year-old actor playing Wolf Jackson was seen affectionately with his wife of 19 years, Giada, 48, during a photo shoot, snuggling up to her.

For the nighttime event, Willem presented an elegant appearance, donning a sleek navy suit that paired beautifully with a glossy black satin tie and polished shoes of the same color.

As Giada stood there, she was stunningly beautiful in a burgundy dress that had a halter neckline, a wide black belt, and sparkling silver trim around the edges.

In that stunning dress, Giada emphasized her exceptional physique by pairing it with tall heels, while she elegantly tied up her long, dark hair into tidy braids.

The couple grinned broadly while having their picture taken together, and later, Willem flashed a smile as he stood next to his fellow actors prior to the premiere.

Despite maintaining a rather private relationship, Willem, who wed Giada only a year following their initial encounter, had earlier revealed insights into his love story with this Italian charm in a piece he penned for The Guardian.

As a seasoned observer of life’s intricacies, let me share a personal anecdote that has remained close to my heart ever since. In the year 2004, serendipity led me to cross paths with my beloved on a bustling Rome street. I was already familiar with her, having admired her talent in films, and we shared a circle of mutual acquaintances. This unexpected encounter turned out to be the beginning of an incredible journey together.

In an unexpectedly whimsical moment, I found myself proposing a spontaneous wedding on the spot during our lunch together. I seized the phone and inquired about the possibility at City Hall, to which they agreed if we hurried over within the next few hours for registration, allowing us to tie the knot the very next day. So, we dashed down there with hearts pounding and dreams taking flight.

‘We married the next day with just two witnesses, our best friends: my manager and her editor.’

At the premiere of Beetlejuice 2, Winona Ryder and Jenna Ortega exchanged roles, with Ryder handing over the baton to Ortega, and they both posed together for photos.

52-year-old actress from Stranger Things, who played Lydia in the original 1988 film when she was a teenager, has taken on her role again for Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice follow-up. Meanwhile, Wednesday star Jenna, aged 21, plays her character’s daughter Astrid Deetz.

Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is opening the festival on Thursday.

In 2024, the 81st edition of the Venice International Film Festival, run by La Biennale di Venezia, is scheduled to take place at Lido di Venezia, from August 28th to September 7th.

Besides Sigourney Weaver and the cast of Beetlejuice, a host of high-profile celebrities are anticipated to arrive in Venice within the next few days.

George Clooney is already in town, alongside his wife Amal, for the debut of his anticipated new movie Wolfs – the Jon Watts-directed heist thriller that reunites him with Oceans 11 co-star Brad Pitt.

Both George and Brad will be attendance at the September 1 screening.

In addition to Brad, Angelina Jolie, his former spouse, will also be present in Venice for promoting a movie titled Maria. Interestingly, she portrays the renowned opera legend Maria Callas in this film.

Reports show that the schedules have been carefully planned to ensure that the contentious ex-couple, still engaged in a legal battle eight years since their separation, will not attend the film festival simultaneously.

On September 4, another significant movie debut takes place with Joker: Folie à Deux. The star-studded premiere brings back Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga for a walk on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival.

At the festival, it’s been confirmed that Daniel Craig will make an appearance to publicize his film titled “Queer.” The screening for this movie is scheduled for September 3.

Venice regulars Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton are in town for Pedro Almodóvar’s English-language debut The Room Next Door while Nicole Kidman is screening her erotic thriller Babygirl on August 30.

Pupi Avati’s The American Backyard will close the festival on September 7.
