Will there be a Cross season 2?
As a dedicated fan of James Patterson’s Alex Cross series, I can confidently say that Aldis Hodge has breathed new life into the character with his captivating portrayal in the Prime Video series, ‘Cross’. The first season, now streaming in its entirety, is a binge-worthy masterpiece that you don’t want to miss.
In case we required anything, it was an authentic portrayal of Alex Cross. Fortunately, that’s exactly what we received with Aldis Hodge in the Prime Video series titled “Cross“.
You can now watch the entire first season, consisting of eight episodes, uninterrupted on Amazon Prime Video. If you’re looking for a marathon viewing experience without any spoilers, here’s your chance!
The series stays true to the books by featuring Alex’s close friend, John Sampson, a character absent in the films. Showrunner Ben Watkins emphasized the significance of incorporating him, as there are multiple dimensions to his personality.
Will some people wonder if Alona Tal’s character Kayla Craig shares a name with Kyle Craig, implying a possible gender reversal? Or could she be an entirely different person? We’ll have to wait for a potential second season to discover the truth.
Yes, Cross season 2 is happening at Prime Video
Exciting news for fans of the James Patterson novel adaptations! The show “Cross” was renewed for a second season as early as April 2024, as reported by Deadline. This was months before we even knew when the series would debut, demonstrating the high anticipation surrounding its release.
We’ve got a bit of information about some fresh characters who will be making an appearance in the upcoming second season. Since each season represents a separate case, not all characters from the first season will return.
Actors Wes Chatham from “The Expanse”, Matthew Lillard known for “Scream”, and Jeanine Mason famous for “Roswell” are joining the cast. Chatham’s character, Donnie, is a tough military veteran turned right-wing farmer, who surprisingly has a tender heart inside. Lillard will portray Lance, a self-made business magnate, while Mason will embody Rebecca, a stern judge seeking revenge.
We’re planning for a second season with eight episodes, similar to the first one, which seems to be the preferred length by Prime Video. However, it might take until late 2025 before we can finally watch “Cross” season 2.
Cross is now available to stream on Prime Video.
