Will Smith looks dapper in a black tuxedo as he joins up with host Antonio Banderas at the 2024 Starlite Gala in Spain
As a dedicated follower of entertainment news, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the evolution of some truly iconic figures in the industry. And Will Smith is undeniably one of them. From his Fresh Prince days to his latest appearances, he continues to captivate audiences with his charm and charisma.
Will Smith was the guest of honor on Sunday at the charity Starlite Gala in Marbella, Spain.
The 55-year-old Academy Award winner, who had been apart from his wife Jada Pinket Smith following their separation announcement this summer, flashed a broad smile on the red carpet while pairing up with one of the night’s hosts, Antonio Banderas.
In sharp contrast, both Smith and the 63-year-old actor from Pain and Glory were impeccably attired, each wearing a distinct tuxedo.
Will Smith, known for his role in The Fresh Prince, was being honored as part of the Gala’s fundraising initiative. The funds raised are divided between the Starlite Foundation and its affiliates, as well as the Lágrimas y Favores foundation, which Banderas personally established.
Back in 2010, I was ecstatically involved in the establishment of a remarkable event that would come to be known as The Gala. This incredible endeavor was spearheaded by none other than Sandra Garcia-Sanjuan, who graced the event with her presence, and backed by the invaluable support of Antonio Banderas, Eva Longoria, and Mario Bravo – at least, initially.
A few days following his unexpected performance of “Summertime” at a gathering in support of the third season premiere of Bel-Air (a spinoff of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), Will journeyed to Marbella.
On Sunday evening, he donned an all-out black three-piece tuxedo, boasting a sleek, peaked lapel jacket and a coordinating waistcoat over a white dress shirt.
He preferred a sleek black satin bowtie and accentuated his style with shiny leather shoes, all while keeping a neatly groomed beard.
As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when the Bad Boys star displayed a peace symbol for the cameras, cradling a sunny yellow dahlia in his hands.
Antonio opted for an unconventional combination, wearing a charcoal overcoat with black dress trousers and polished patent leather footwear.
It seemed like he might have chosen a jacket from a gray suit instead of a tuxedo, since it lacked the usual shimmering lapels that set tuxedo jackets apart.
On the red carpet, adorned with golden glitter, the young-looking Spanish actor sported a very short hairstyle similar to Will’s, while they both struck poses together.
Globally, his efforts towards numerous charitable initiatives were acknowledged.
On the red carpet, not only did the top two gentlemen appear, but they were joined by Sandra Garcia-Sanjuan, the founder, adorned in a voluminous hot pink gown and a majestic floral headpiece resembling a tiara.
She and Will were seen beaming arm-in-arm at the ceremony.
Antonio was accompanied on the red carpet by his beautiful girlfriend, model Nicole Kimpel, who elegantly wore a one-shoulder green satin dress.
On Sunday, the gala showcased a unique homage to Mexico, a nation where the Starlight Foundation carries out its work.
The honorees were Colombian singer Carlos Vives, Spanish actress Cayetana Guillén Cuervo, Spanish singer India Martínez, Queen Margarita Vargas of Bourbon, and former Argentine soccer star Pupi Zanetti.
