Will Smith lines up Bad Boys reunion for Netflix movie

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of movie-watching under my belt, I must say I’m beyond thrilled about Will Smith’s upcoming action flick, “Fast and Loose.” The man has always been my go-to guy for adrenaline-pumping entertainment, from the original Bad Boys to the more recent Bad Boys: Ride or Die.

Will Smith has lined up a Bad Boys reunion for a new Netflix film.

Almost three decades have passed since the popular action-comedy was initially released, and its creator, Michael Bay, has agreed to direct the upcoming action movie titled “Fast and Loose” featuring Smith. (Source: Deadline)

The movie’s synopsis, titled “Fast and Loose“, introduces us to a protagonist who finds himself in Tijuana without any recollection of his past.

In the process of unraveling his own history, he discovers that he has been secretly leading two distinct lives – one as a criminal mastermind and the other as a covert operative for the CIA.

The script for the film was written by Jon Hoeber, Erich Hoeber, Chris Bremner, and Eric Pearson, based on the original screenplay by the Hoeber brothers.

Besides acting in it, Smith will also work together with Kelly McCormick, David Leitch, Jon Mone, Ryan Shimazaki, and his ex-manager James Lassiter, as well as co-founding the production company with the actor himself.

Executive producers include Robert Simonds, Noah Fogelson and Barry Waldman.

Bay is renowned for helming the initial installments of the “Bad Boys” series, launched in 1995 and 2003. Additionally, he took charge of the first five “Transformers” films, along with movies like “The Rock”, “Pearl Harbor”, and “The Island”.

This year, Smith once again took on the character of Mike Lowrey in the fourth installment of the Bad Boys franchise, titled Bad Boys: Ride or Die. The movie has raked in over $220 million globally and pushed the entire series’ earnings at the worldwide box office past the $1 billion milestone.

Since then, the actor has secured a part in an upcoming science fiction suspense film titled “Resistor“. This movie revolves around a scientist uncovering a gadget capable of bending gravity.

It emerged last month that Smith allegedly left the cast of the upcoming action film “Sugar Bandits” because of scheduling issues.

Under the guidance of director Stefano Sollima, the movie centers around a ex-Special Forces operative who teams up with a vigilant group aiming to dismantle the drug cartels that plague Boston.

Release date for “Fast and Loose” has not been announced just yet, but you can catch “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” on Netflix within the United States.
