Will Ozzy Osbourne’s death finally mend his daughters’ feud? How vastly-different siblings Aimee and Kelly reunited for their father’s final days after admitting they weren’t on speaking terms
To an outside observer, the Osbourne family appeared exceptionally robust within the entertainment industry, with Ozzy’s offspring uniting to care for him as he neared the end of his life.
Furthermore, although Black Sabbath’s legendary status ensures a lasting impact on music, his demise may signal the resolution of a prolonged dispute between two of his daughters, bringing a sense of closure to their disagreement.
For quite some time, Kelly Osbourne (aged 40) and her sister Aimee have experienced a strained relationship. This tension stemmed from the decision Aimee made (at age 16) to leave home and live independently, rather than participate in their family’s MTV reality show.
Over the past few years, these two very distinct siblings have confessed that they no longer communicate. During an interview, Kelly expressed that they simply don’t comprehend one another.
After Ozzy passed away following a six-year struggle with Parkinson’s disease, it was reported by The Mail that both Kelly and Aimee were in their father’s residence during his last days.
Last week, it was mentioned that the sisters had traveled from Los Angeles to be with their father, providing care for him only a few days ago.

Over the past week or so, both Kelly and Aimee have been spending a lot of time at the house. Unfortunately, it appears that their hope for him to continue living a bit longer has not come true.
‘But it’s so lovely that he had his children around him during his last days.’
Ozzy Osbourne has been married for 43 years to Sharon, with whom he shares daughters Kelly and Aimee, as well as son Jack. Additionally, he has three other children – Louis, Jessica, and Eliot – from his previous marriage to Thelma Riley.
In a touching announcement, the Osbournes revealed that Ozzy had passed away, enveloped by affection, following a six-year struggle with Parkinson’s disease.
The message bore the signatures of his spouse, Sharon, as well as four of their children – Jack, Louis, Kelly, and Aimee – demonstrating the unity of the family in the days leading up to his departure.
Initially, it was disclosed last year (2021) that Kelly had been out of contact with her elder sister for quite some time. She openly acknowledged that they hadn’t exchanged words for multiple years.
In a conversation on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard, she expressed that we have no shared language. Instead, we are fundamentally distinct individuals, each struggling to comprehend the other.
In the year 2015, Aimee confessed to The Independent that her relationship with Kelly was not particularly warm and stated, “I wouldn’t describe it as easy, but there is a mutual understanding. We don’t hang out socially?

Aimee has improved her relationship with her brother Jack significantly, as they now jointly manage their shared production company, Osbourne Media.
Born in London, ARO (Aimee) spent her childhood years in California until she turned 16. However, when filming for The Osbournes started around the turn of the millennium, she left her family home.
Looking back, I was grappling with my identity amidst the turmoil of family dynamics. To expose such personal discoveries on TV just didn’t seem right for me at that time.
I felt the need to safeguard myself, my parents, and my younger siblings as well. They were quite vulnerable and easily influenced at that time.
Later in 2008, she justified her choice and explained to The Independent: “I’m not a melancholic, reclusive child who shuns the world, hiding myself away in my room.
I decided not to participate in the show. I aspire to be a singer, and I believed that if I had continued with the Osbournes and completed the entire project, I might have been labeled too quickly as just that character.
Sharon experienced some pain, and there were certainly challenging moments marked by disagreements. I tend to be more introverted, and maintaining privacy in my personal life is particularly significant for me.
Sharon confessed she was deeply saddened when Aimee left home, expressing this sentiment during an appearance on The Talk in 2018: “Aimee shared my feelings that she didn’t want to grow up under the camera’s watchful eye. The thought of it was revolting to her.
‘And so she left at 16 and I regret every day that she did. It broke my heart when she moved.’
Over the past few months, I’ve gradually stepped back into the limelight, using Instagram to showcase my fresh tunes and share glimpses of my life. Notably, it seems I’ve reconciled with my parents, as evidenced by a heartwarming photo with my mom Sharon in May.
Aimee’s lifestyle decisions significantly differed from Kelly, who is known for being part of a reality TV show within her family, and has made a name for herself as a host on shows such as Fashion Police, The View, and Project Runway.
Apart from struggles with prescription medications and alcohol, it’s been disclosed that Kelly has checked into rehabilitation centers for substance abuse seven times, along with spending time in two psychiatric facilities. Since the year 2017, she has maintained sobriety.
Ozzy’s death was announced in a statement shared by his family on Tuesday.
Expressing it differently: With a heavier heart than any words can express, they shared the news that their cherished Ozzy Osbourne has sadly passed away this morning.
‘He was in the company of his loved ones, bathed in affection. At present, we kindly request that everyone honors our family’s seclusion. The family members are Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis.’
Following the announcement earlier this year by Ozzy, it was made known that due to his six-year struggle with Parkinson’s disease, he is now unable to walk.
Yet, even so, they successfully reassembled for a farewell performance with Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward just last week.
Or:
Nevertheless, he was able to join forces once more with Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward for their recent swansong gig.
Or:
In spite of that, he still pulled it off by performing together again with Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward at their last concert earlier this month.

Ozzy, originally named John Michael Osbourne, hails from Birmingham and left education at the tender age of fifteen.
Having spent two months behind bars for a break-in, I found solace in my burning passion for music. By 1970, with the unleashing of our debut album, Black Sabbath had amassed an enormous fanbase across the United States and the UK, igniting a fire in me that only continued to grow.
In 1978, Ozzy Osbourne left the band, and four years after that, he divorced his first spouse, Thelma, with whom he shared two kids. This divorce took place while Ozzy continued to struggle with his persistent substance issues.
Afterward, he wed his second spouse, Sharon Osbourne. She played a crucial role in helping him become a thriving solo performer, and together they welcomed three kids.
Ozzy gained a whole new audience of fans with the family’s reality TV show The Osbournes in 2001.
He is survived by his wife Sharon and his five children, Jessica, Louis, Aimee, Kelly and Jack.
