Will Mellor’s Heartbreak Over Rape Victims in New Documentary
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been deeply moved by my recent experience of producing a documentary that chronicles the story of Lauren Taylor, a brave young woman who was raped at the age of 16 by a police officer. The raw power and emotional depth I encountered during this process left an indelible impact on me.
In his latest show titled “Cops Gone Bad,” the 48-year-old host and performer delves into the troubling story of ex-police officer Adam Provan, who deceived a young girl’s father about his age to go out with her, ultimately leading to him raping her.
Speaking candidly to The Mirror, Will shared the profound effect that incident had on him: “That event resonated deeply since I recognized my 16-year-old daughter in that young girl.” He went on to praise Lauren for her bravery in sharing her story and coming forward.
What struck me deeply was the fact that she mentioned her father had deemed Provan safe for her company. When she confessed, “I never told my father about it as I didn’t wish him to bear guilt,” it left me heartbroken and emotional. That evening, I rushed home to embrace my daughter tightly.
Speaking about their children Renee and Jayden, aged 20, along with his spouse Michelle Mcsween-Mellor, expressed: “As parents, all we desire is to shield our kids.
Acknowledging that he might feel responsible should anything happen to his daughter, he confessed that in such a situation, he would express a strong and instinctive desire to retaliate, using the phrase “I would want to seek revenge”.

In 2010, Provan, who was then 31 years old, lied about his age to his father, claiming he was only 22, so he could accompany Lauren to the movie theater.
Yet, surprisingly, Provan led them both to a tranquil countryside park, where he violated her against her will as she remained paralyzed with fear.
Or:
In an unexpected twist of circumstances, Provan guided them towards a picturesque country park and assaulted her there, leaving her rooted to the spot in horror.
The documentary showcases an incident where Provan, unknowingly, threw away his used condom and then gathered his garments prior to guiding Lauren out of the forest again.
Lauren has chosen not to remain anonymous for the forthcoming Crime+ Investigation documentary, which will feature Will as the host.
As a devoted supporter, I guided them towards a McDonald’s afterwards. There, I treated us both to milkshakes, finding it necessary to mislead her parents about our previous activities.
He went as far as verifying movie schedules and stories, ensuring he could convincingly mislead them about her whereabouts.
Subsequently, he took her to a play area designed for kids and assaulted her sexually once more, compelling her to carry out a sexual act against his will.
For six years, Lauren remained quiet about the incident, scared that her father might feel responsible and self-blame for allowing her to leave.

In his documentary, Will intends to shed light on law enforcement officials who can exploit their positions to avoid being caught while victimizing others. However, he emphasized that this is not an attempt to criticize or defame the police force as a whole.
In light of the shaken confidence in our law enforcement after the tragic events involving Wayne Couzens and Sarah Everard, I firmly believe it’s crucial for us to uphold transparency by openly discussing the screening procedures we employ when recruiting officers.
Cops Gone Bad launches on February 17 on Crime+.
