Will Mellor addresses Two Pints of Lager reunion special hopes

As a seasoned gamer and a die-hard fan of British sitcoms, I must say that the prospect of a Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps reunion special has me more excited than a cat on a hot tin roof! The show was an integral part of my youth, a hilarious portrayal of friendship, love, and the trials and tribulations of young adults navigating their way through life.

Mellor, the actor, has fueled expectations among fans by suggesting that there might be a reunion special for the show titled “Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps“.

Previously from “Coronation Street,” the actor has recently partnered up again with his “Two Pints of Lager” colleague, Ralf Little, for the reality show titled “Will & Ralf Should Know Better.” This collaboration comes after their highly successful live tour held earlier in 2024.

As a gaming enthusiast speaking to you, I’d share that there have been moments when a reunion for the beloved series “Two Pints of Lager” was on the brink of becoming a reality. While it’s not set in stone just yet, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it might still materialize!

Nostalgia plays a significant role as many people grew up watching that particular show. We did have a script titled ‘Two Pints, Last Orders,’ which was written by Susan Nickson. Unfortunately, the BBC declined to revisit it, but the demand for its return is enormous.

There’s strong interest from the public for us to revive it, and I’d happily return to that place for a reunion or a retrospective piece, either as a documentary or a single event. It was a significant chapter in my life and holds a special place in many hearts.

If Mellor is on board and Ralf Little seems receptive, it’s likely that Sheridan Smith and Kathryn Drysdale would also need to join in for the project.

In the year 2021, Sheridan Smith expressed to Metro her curiosity about where her character, Janet Keogh, might have wound up.

She expressed that it was absolutely fantastic, as she felt the same way about the latest “Gavin & Stacey” special.

There could be a chance we reunite the group known as “The Two Pints” crew someday, provided our schedules align; it’s not impossible.

Ever since then, it’s been announced that “Gavin & Stacey” is planning another reunion special, which will be aired during this year’s holiday season. Fingers crossed, lovers of “Two Pints of Lager” might receive the same delight soon!
