Wilds by Night Zookeeper lets you bring your hand-drawn creatures to life on mobile and PC

Story Highlights

  • Wilds – Night Zookeeper turns your drawings into playable 3D creatures.
  • Our creations can influence future creatures, items, and game features.
  • The new character creation game launches on PC and mobile later this year.

The team that made the BAFTA-nominated game Night Zookeeper is launching their next adventure, Wilds – Night Zookeeper. It’s a new game where you can create characters and collect them—and your own drawings actually come to life as 3D creatures you can play with!

Wilds, launching on computers and phones later this year, has a unique concept: players don’t pick pre-made characters – they design their own creatures and then see them living and evolving within the game.

You can customise, collect, and battle with your own original Wilds

Wilds is set in the enchanting world of Night Zookeeper, where players work together to bring imagination back to life. You’ll discover new creatures called Wilds, design your own areas, finish fun tasks, and battle shadowy Voids that are trying to steal creativity.

Wilds lets you bring your creativity to life by designing creatures exactly how you envision them. After creating a ‘Wild,’ you can personalize its skills, try out various combat styles, and collect a diverse roster of one-of-a-kind beings.

You can explore worlds made by other players, offering a huge variety of creative designs. These player creations might even inspire new creatures, items, areas, attacks, and ways to play the game in the future.

Wilds builds upon the success of Night Zookeeper, a platform that’s inspired creativity in over a million children for more than fifteen years. These young writers have collectively penned over a billion words! The Night Zookeeper world has grown beyond the digital realm to include published books, an animated show, and a thriving community of artists and storytellers.

You can add Wilds – Night Zookeeper to your Steam wishlist and sign up for updates on the official website, including chances to try out early versions of the game. We don’t have information about a mobile version or specific release date yet, but Steam currently lists an expected release around November 2026.
