As a seasoned adventurer who’s braved countless frozen landscapes and shuffled through more decks than a librarian, I can’t help but feel a shiver of anticipation for the upcoming release of Wildfrost on Xbox next week! The blend of roguelike adventure, deckbuilding strategy, and frosty scenery is like a winter wonderland crafted just for me.
The team consisting of Chucklefish, Gaziter, and Deadpan Games has revealed that the deckbuilding roguelike experience titled “Wildfrost” will be available on Xbox within the upcoming week. This announcement is included in the selection of games to be added to Game Pass during December.
Embarking on a chilly adventure using card decks, Wildfrost challenges your skills in strategy and deck construction, as you struggle against unrelenting winter in the quaint village of Snowdwell.
In your deck, you will discover diverse allies and elemental cards. As you play as leaders belonging to multiple tribes at the onset of every game, they each have unique, randomly assigned statistics and abilities. Additionally, a ‘dynamic counter system’ allows you to capitalize on enemies’ vulnerabilities.
Everyday Run contests offer unlimited fun with repeat play, and they’ll even include delightful appearances from the characters of “Cult of the Lamb” and “Celeste”. The game “Wildfrost” is set to launch for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC on December 10th, bringing its charm along.
