With the introduction of the Patch 6.2 Update, developers at Riot Games will allow the popular title Wild Rift to delve into numerous captivating enhancements and refinements. The Wild Rift Patch 6.2 update is also set to display a variety of enticing events, skins, and other features. Wild Rift Patch 6.2 Update: New Champion releases and reworks

Aurora

Kicking things off for Wild Rift’s Patch 6.2 on July 17th, a fresh face will make its debut on the rift – the mage champion Aurora, also referred to as the Interdimensional Witch. This potent mid-lane champion boasts a strong burst and impressive mobility skills.

She can transition effortlessly between the spiritual and physical dimensions, which temporarily makes her invulnerable, enabling her to sneak up on and eliminate unaware adversaries.

Bard

In Wild Rift Patch 6.2, another noteworthy character making an entrance is Bard, affectionately known as “The Wandering Caretaker.” He is a roaming champion with extraordinary abilities, capable of crafting portals that transport him and his comrades effortlessly around the map. Furthermore, Bard possesses a potent ultimate move, which can freeze himself and all nearby champions simultaneously.

This remarkable skill serves dual purposes, functioning effectively as both an offensive and defensive tool. When deployed close to adversaries, it freezes them momentarily, providing a precious window for your team to attack and defeat them. Utilized among teammates, it offers valuable time by warding off all incoming damage and enemy control effects, acting as a shield.

Vel’Koz

Known as the “Eye of the Void,” Vel’koz is one of the three champions making their entrance with Wild Rift’s Patch 6.2 update. This mage champion specializes in dishing out powerful burst magic damage on opponents hidden far behind the front lines.

Champion Reworks

Galio

The developers aim to enhance Galio’s dependability as a tank-focused champion instead of a burst damage dealer. To achieve this goal, they plan to adjust several aspects of the game, with a particular focus on modifying his second skill, “Shield of Durand,” and other skills, in order to encourage building tank items on Galio rather than focusing on damage-dealing items.

Swain

The developers are planning to maximize Swain’s abilities by granting him numerous bonuses specifically designed to boost his damage capabilities.

Our favorite marksman champions that rely on critical hits, such as Varus, Ashe, Zero, Vayne, and Miss Fortune, will receive improvements and enhancements by the developers.

The developers have underlined some modifications and additions to the list of items you can build in Wild Rift. These include:

  • Bloodthirster: This item will now grant extra sustain and extra survivability allowing champions to last long during teamfights.
  • Infinity Edge: This item has been adjusted to be a viable item for critical-based marksman heroes.
  • Essence Reaver: This item will now provide extra burst and movement speed after each hit.
  • Soul Transfer: This is a newly added item that will further boost the offensive capabilities of marksman champions against enemy front liners. Since the new Soul Transfer item will mirror each critical attack, granting extra damage source to melt down enemies.

Gameplay Changes

The Devs will be introducing some fun new additions to the Rift:

  • A new jungle monster called, Enchanted Piggy will now appear on the Rift, roaming the Baron and Dragon Pit.
  • Defeating the Enchanted Piggy will reward you with some gold, XP, and an extra damage source in the form of an Enchanted Piglet.
  • The Devs will also be refining the brush layout around the dragon pit, providing a clearer vision of the Rift.
  • The Devs will be introducing exciting Easter egg rewards into the Rift battlefield. Now, players can be rewarded with extra Gold for ingenious plays like smart Ward placement amongst others.
  • The Devs aim to boost the early game pacing. Therefore, turret platings will now come off as soon as the first Elemental Drake spawns. Epic monsters like Baron will also spawn faster now.
  • The Devs will also be fine-tuning the entire Enchantment system. This will allow you to easily choose the Enchantment that best fits your role and play style.

Wild Rift Patch 6.2 “Powers Unbound” Update: Game modes

AAA-ARAM

Apart from receiving around 60 fresh Cards for your selection, you now have the opportunity to pick an “Ultimate Spellbook” prior to starting a match in AAA-ARAM (All Random All Mid) mode. This new feature is expected to make the game more engaging and thrilling than ever, offering you an unprecedented level of enjoyment.

Wild Rift Patch 6.2 Update: Ranked Season, Wild Pass, and More Skins

Ranked Season 18 and Wild Pass

  • The Ranked Season 18 will start on July 17th with a new Galio skin as a free reward.
  • The new Wild Pass will showcase Wondertown Lillia skin as the main skin of the pass.
  • The Second Wild Pass would feature Battlecast Urgot skin.

Developers are going to add a new skin level named, “Supremely Elegant.” Skins in this freshly introduced level will undergo an upgrade featuring premium color schemes, improved designs, detailed textures, and entirely new visual arts for the splash screens.

Players can expect a variety of fresh skins to collect, such as Summer Party outfits, Mystical Herald costumes, High Noon attires, Arclight skins, and many more exciting options!
