Widower of Peaches Geldof finds love again, shares sweet snaps with new girlfriend on her birthday

Thomas Cohen’s partner recently posted an affectionate message, revealing that their bond remains robust, as they first appeared on social media together back in October.

After the heartbreaking loss of his first wife, Peaches Geldof, in 2014, the musician is now happily in a relationship with actress and body confidence advocate, Yasmin El Yassini.

On Thursday, Yasmin celebrated turning 31. She posted a photo from a fun night out with friends, and in doing so, hinted that her relationship with her partner remains strong.

Additionally, she posted a detailed shot of Thomas prior to penning: ‘Yet another year living life as a human.’

‘So grateful to have spend my day at the farm and with all my lovely angels ✨’

She mentioned, “We’ve had Kashmir as our roommate for two months now.” (implying the couple and their cat)

‘Thank you all for all the love ♥️ Sending so much love and magic to all of you’. 

At the tender age of 23, Thomas found himself a widower following the tragic death of his wife, Peaches, due to a heroin overdose, which occurred in an extra bedroom in their residence located in Wrotham, Kent.

After growing concerned because she wasn’t responding to his phone calls, the star’s spouse discovered Peaches’ lifeless body near their 11-month-old child Phaedra.

Besides Phaedra, who is now 11 years old, I, being an overly devoted fan, am proud to share that the couple also nurtured Astala, a 12-year-old gem. After Peaches’ tragic demise, the loving father, now single, chose to retreat from the limelight and dedicate his life to raising these children at our humble abode in north Kent.

This year, it emerged through TopMob’s disclosure that he has rekindled romance and has been secretly dating Yasmin since the year 2019.

As a devoted individual, I find myself compelled to express a personal sentiment: It’s incredibly liberating to truly love another person.

Thomas encountered Yasmin back in 2014, which was the same year when Peaches passed away. However, it took a while for them to develop their relationship afterwards.

Following his wife’s passing, he had short-lived relationships with models Daisy Lowe (previously acquainted with Peaches) and Zoe Bleu, the offspring of U.S. actress Rosanna Arquette.

Yassini was raised in Berlin and is half-Moroccan and half-German. 

They, along with Thomas, are committed practitioners of Transcendental Meditation – a quiet, secular technique claimed to offer stress reduction and facilitate deeper levels of awareness.

In October, she appeared on his Instagram following a moody, black-and-white photoshoot where they both donned similar, vintage-style white dresses.

In 2012, Thomas and Peaches got married at the very same location where her parents, Bob and the late Paula Yates, received their blessings following their Las Vegas wedding in 1986.

Since the passing of Peaches, Thomas has experienced a significant change in his fashion style, now favoring dresses and a more alluring makeup look.

Previously recognized for his affection towards vintage tailoring and baggy jeans, this musician is now often seen in dresses, a transformation evident on his Instagram account under the moniker Sylph (meaning ethereal being or spirit of the air) and the username בעל הבית – translating to Landlord in Arabic.

Since as early as 2018, he initially unveiled his new appearance in a Berlin art gallery photograph wearing an eye-catching orange dress with grand sleeves. Ever since then, he’s consistently been sharing his stylish transformations.

Under the new stage name Sylph, Thomas frequently posts pictures showcasing his bold fashion choices, along with inspirational messages about self-divinity and spirituality on social media platforms.
