Wicked’s Cynthia Erivo explains “totally insane” Poker Face roles
Actress Cynthia Erivo, famous for her role in “Wicked,” has shared details about her future projects, “Poker Face,” saying they are “completely outrageous.
Actor joins the ensemble for the upcoming second season of Rian Johnson’s crime-comedy series, where Natasha Lyonne portrays casino employee Charlie Cale who uses her unique talent to discern lying, unravelling mysteries.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, scheduled for release later this year as a new series premieres, Erivo discusses her unique role that involves portraying five distinct characters who are all siblings in the season opener.

As an enthusiast, I yearned to explore the intriguing concept of juggling multiple personas concurrently, pushing my boundaries to test its feasibility. One particularly chaotic day, as we delved into four distinct characters, I found myself verging on the edge of madness – utterly, undeniably insane.
During the promotional tour for ‘Wicked,’ we were busy, going to every event non-stop. For eleven consecutive days, I filmed scenes in New York, which left me feeling mentally drained. In fact, ‘mentally exhausted’ doesn’t even begin to describe it.
At the close of each day, I’d often find myself struggling to recall my own identity. I’d mutter something like, “I can’t seem to locate myself.” The experience was chaotic, yet wonderfully so, as the celebrity, who has also graced the screen in films like Harriet and Widows, explained.
While Erivo admitted that playing her own scene partner presented certain difficulties, she found working with Lyonne to be surprisingly effortless. Reflecting on their collaboration, Erivo expressed, “I enjoyed it immensely. It was incredibly straightforward. We shared a wonderful chemistry.
