Wicked is now available to watch at home
As a die-hard theater enthusiast who’s seen “Wicked” no less than five times on Broadway and countless times in various productions around the globe, I can confidently say that this magical masterpiece has truly cast its spell on me! The digital release of “Wicked” is like getting a second chance to witness Elphaba and Glinda’s enchanting friendship unfold all over again. And with deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes footage, it feels like I’ve been granted backstage access to the making of this modern classic!
Now, if only they could find a way to digitally transport me a box of Sour Grapes from the concession stand… because let’s face it, no Wicked experience is complete without them!
At last, you can now watch Wicked from the comfort of your home, as it raked in over $600 million at the global box office!
The Broadway version, breaking the laws of gravity, has smashed several records and is poised to be the highest-earning global adaptation on Broadway.
Currently, if you reside in the U.S., you have the freedom to watch Wicked as frequently as desired since you can rent or purchase it directly from Prime Video, iTunes, and various other digital vendors at this moment.
For those in the UK, you’ve got a few days left to anticipate, since Wicked is set for digital release on January 3 (Friday). In the interim, consider pre-ordering the movie on Prime Video and iTunes so you can watch it as soon as it becomes available.
The online version of “Wicked” offers the karaoke edition of the currently playing film in theaters, plus 10 additional or extended scenes, along with a peek into the process of creating “Wicked.
If you’re eagerly anticipating getting a hardcopy of “Wicked”, you might want to consider pre-ordering the movie on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD in the UK. Unfortunately, the 4K Steelbook version is temporarily out of stock at Amazon and HMV, as well as other retailers.
Universal has yet to confirm a release date for the physical home release.
Just last week, they officially revealed that the sequel to my favorite game, Wicked: Part Two, is now titled Wicked: For Good – a clever reference to one of the most memorable tunes from Act 2 in the musical.
As a devoted fan, I was taken aback when Ariana Grande disclosed that the cast had been privy to the genuine title of the second film all along.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve just learned that the much-anticipated movie “Wicked” has hit the big screens across the U.S., and guess what? If you can’t make it to the cinemas right away, you can still catch it from the comfort of your home! It’s available for purchase or rental on Prime Video, iTunes, and more platforms in our country. So, grab some popcorn and enjoy this magical adventure!
