Wicked is Leaving Peacock SOON! Where to Watch Next!

Based on a recent announcement from the streaming platform, the popular musical adaptation “Wicked,” featuring Cynthia Orvivo and Ariana Grande, is set to leave Peacock sooner rather than later. This production was an enormous success in movie theaters last autumn and has been captivating audiences on streaming platforms since March of this year. The move to a different streaming service was part of a long-term strategy, but it seems that the transition occurred more swiftly than expected.

It’s been verified that the musical “Wicked” will no longer be available to stream as of July 20. Currently, you can find both the regular and sing-along versions listed under the “Leaving Soon” section on their streaming platform.

As a dedicated movie buff, I’ve got some exciting news to share! It appears that due to a long-term deal between Universal and Amazon Prime Video, the much-loved musical adaptation I’ve been eagerly anticipating will initially stream exclusively on Peacock for the first four months within the pay-TV window. But don’t worry, starting July 20, this fantastic production, known as Wicked, will find its way over to Amazon Prime Video and stay there for the following ten months!

Upon its debut on Peacock on March 21, the musical film “Wicked” climbed swiftly to the summit of the platform’s streaming charts, breaking records as the most-watched Pay 1 movie in Peacock’s history. Anticipation for this adaptation of the cherished Broadway production was high, and it mirrored the success of Universal’s other major release, “Oppenheimer,” which also topped Nielsen’s streaming rankings on Peacock.

Instead of Peacock, attention has moved towards its sequel, titled “Wicked: For Good“. This upcoming film will be in theaters on November 21st. The initial trailer for the movie was recently revealed, emphasizing the intricate plot and musical performances from the film’s intense second act. A significant portion of the cast from the first part is expected to reprise their roles, including Jonathan Bailey as Fieyro and Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz.

If you’re among those who regularly catch up on Peacock, perhaps for each episode of Love Island USA, here are some other notable movies that will be departing from the platform soon.

Additionally, it’s been announced that the psychological horror movie “Marrowbone” will be leaving Peacock on July 13. Released in 2017, this film was penned and directed by Sergio G. Sanchez, featuring George MacKay, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Mia Goth, and Matthew Stagg in leading roles.

As a movie enthusiast, I recently had the chilling experience of watching “Marrowbone,” a film that takes you on a gripping journey through the eyes of its English siblings, who find themselves in their late mother’s ominous family home nestled in the haunting landscapes of Maine. The eerie presence that lurks within the house adds an unsettling layer to this already suspenseful tale. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can catch it on Hulu in the United States, as it has recently left Peacock’s streaming service.

On July 14th, I’ll be diving into the waters of Peacock for a thrilling swim with “Jaws 2”. Later this month, the rest of the franchise will join in. This sequel to Steven Spielberg’s 1978 original, where I step back into the role of Police Chief Martin Brody, portrayed by Roy Scheider once more, is all about the chilling suspicion that another great white shark has taken up residence near the coast of Amity Island.

In spite of some production difficulties, Jaws 2 eventually became known as the most successful sequel in the series. Currently, you can find Jaws 2, along with its predecessor Jaws, Jaws 3, and Jaws: The Revenge, streaming on Peacock.

In summary, the kids’ movie titled “Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs” is departing from Peacock on July 15. This 2019 South Korean animated film offers a fresh take on classic fairy tales by combining aspects of “Snow White” and “The Red Shoes,” creating an enjoyable and emotionally resonant journey.

In this movie, we hear the talented voices of Chloe Grace Moretz, Sam Claflin, and Patrick Warburton. The story revolves around a band of princes who have been cursed to live as dwarfs and a secretly enchanted princess. Together, they embark on an emotional journey exploring self-acceptance and love.
