The music from the upcoming movie *Wicked: For Good* has been released, and it shows that it won’t be exactly the same as the stage show’s soundtrack.
Today, September 17th, we’re excited to announce the release date for the soundtrack to the upcoming sequel! The full tracklist is also available, so you can see all the songs that will be included in the new movie.
Stephen Schwartz has written two new songs for the upcoming release of *Wicked: For Good*, featuring solo performances by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.

The movie features all-new songs created specifically for the film-they weren’t included in the original Broadway show.
In addition to the new songs, the musical also features an updated opening number now called ‘Every Day More Wicked’.
Although not the original title of a song from the musical, the phrase “every day, more wicked” appears in Act II of the show’s main song, ‘Thank Goodness,’ suggesting it’s a revised line.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to listen to the movie’s soundtrack before you see the film. The soundtrack for *Wicked: For Good* will be released on the same day the movie comes out – November 21st.
Schwartz expressed his excitement about the *Wicked: For Good* soundtrack, highlighting that it features a significant amount of previously unreleased music.
This release features two completely new songs, plus significant updates to several familiar ones. Whether you’re experiencing the music for the first time or are a longtime listener of the original Broadway album, you’ll find plenty of fresh content to enjoy.
The new album will be available digitally and in physical formats, including a CD, a two-LP vinyl record, and a special edition double picture-disc LP.
Wicked: For Good is released in cinemas on 21 November.
