Wicked: For Good’s final trailer sees Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo’s characters face off in dramatic showdown as fans are treated to teaser of new music while Dorothy arrives in Oz

The final trailer for the movie *Wicked: For Good* dropped on Wednesday, showcasing a tense confrontation between Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.

Cynthia, 38, reprises her role as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, and Ariana, 32, returns as Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, in the new film.

The final trailer for the movie, released before its November 21 debut, reveals what happens after the events of the first film, showing Elphaba living in exile.

She’s still working to free Oz, while the animals, who have been kept quiet, are determined to reveal the truth about the Wizard – portrayed by Jeff Goldblum.

A bold message appeared in the clouds above Oz, spelled out by a witch: ‘Our Wizard is a fraud.’

Glinda is now known as the kindest person in Oz, and she lives in a beautiful palace within the Emerald City.

She is also preparing to marry Jonathan Bailey’s character Prince Fiyero.

The preview shows the citizens of Oz searching for Elphaba, and one person is seen with a bucket labeled ‘Melt her’.

Posters all over Oz are warning people about her, and one even shows her claws with the message: ‘Beware of the Wicked Witch’.

Glinda and Elphaba have a strained confrontation when Grande’s character tries to defend herself after the witch claims she lacks genuine strength.

Okay, so the trailer nearly killed me, honestly! But then, at the very end, Glinda says to her, like, with *tears* in her eyes, ‘Think of what we could do together!’ I swear, I rewound it like ten times. It was just a tiny moment, but you could *feel* the possibility of them being friends again, and it totally wrecked me in the best way. I’m already obsessed with their dynamic!

Audiences get a sneak peek at Dorothy’s first moments in Oz, along with the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, and Scarecrow.

The Wizard tasks them with bringing back Elphaba’s broom to prove that she has been killed.

As a huge fan, I was so excited to hear bits of the new music in the *Wicked* trailer! They played snippets of Cynthia Erivo’s song, ‘No Good Deed,’ and Ariana Grande singing ‘For Good,’ and honestly, it gave me chills!

Viewers are loving the new scenes, with one fan saying it feels like a big step forward from the original and expressing their excitement.

Another person commented that they’re excited to see ‘For Good’ performed in the movie, predicting it will be as memorable a scene as ‘Defying Gravity’ was in the first film.

‘Why cant this come sooner. Im dying for this. I wish it was November,’ said a third eager fan.

One fan excitedly wrote, ‘I can’t wait for November! It’ll be here before we know it, and I’m begging for the songs to be released – I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about it!’

The first film was a huge commercial success, earning approximately $747.2 million despite costing only $150 million to make.

Wicked was highly praised by critics and earned 10 Academy Award nominations, winning two awards at this year’s glamorous ceremony in March.

Ariana beautifully sang ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ – the famous song from the 1939 movie – before passing the microphone to Cynthia.

Oh my goodness, it was EVERYTHING! They started singing ‘Defying Gravity’ from Wicked, and it was just… magical. They were *holding hands* while they sang! I almost couldn’t breathe, it was the most perfect moment ever. Seriously, I think I ascended with Elphaba right then and there.

Jon M. Chu, the acclaimed director behind the first ‘Wicked’ film, is returning to direct ‘Wicked: For Good’, and he’s already given fans a hint of what’s to come.

He said: ‘If Part 1 is about choices, Part 2 is about consequences.

Making decisions is never easy, and even when you do choose a path, things don’t always turn out as planned. It can be a challenging and isolating experience.

Jon explained that the second movie involves a lot of characters questioning their choices and whether they did the right thing.

He added: ‘There is lots of lightness in the movie. There’s a lot of fun parts.

As a lifestyle expert, I think what’s really exciting about the follow-up is that it builds on what came before. We don’t just repeat ourselves; we *grow*. The first film laid the groundwork, and now we’ve earned the ability to explore those themes with a lot more depth and sophistication. It’s about taking everything we established and really running with it in a more mature way.
