Jon M. Chu’s latest film is continuing to be a huge success, breaking box office records. Following the acclaim and Oscar win of the first movie, the second installment is performing just as well, and has even surpassed the record held by one of Guy Ritchie’s films.
The movie Wicked: For Good is expected to earn $150 million in the United States and Canada, and $226 million worldwide. This success breaks previous records for the film’s stars, director, and producer, Marc Platt. Platt’s previous highest-grossing film globally was the live-action Aladdin, which earned $213 million.
