The soundtrack for Wicked: For Good includes all the songs from the original Broadway musical, plus two new tracks. However, because it focuses on the second half of the story, some felt it wasn’t as strong as the first Wicked soundtrack, mainly because it doesn’t feature the iconic performance of “Defying Gravity.”
The upcoming film adaptation of Wicked will feature new and familiar songs performed by stars like Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, and Jonathan Bailey. Alongside fresh solos for Elphaba and Glinda created just for the movie, the soundtrack will include reimagined versions of beloved classics such as “No Good Deed” and “For Good.”
The Wicked: For Good soundtrack features a total of 11 songs. We can help you find out when each song plays in the movie or where to stream the full soundtrack.
When Every Song In Wicked: For Good Plays

The song “Every Day More Wicked” (featuring Michelle Yeoh & Ariana Grande) from the Wicked movie opens with Elphaba halting the building of the Yellow Brick Road and starts to set the stage for the story. Originally part of the song “Thank Goodness,” this track plays while we see Elphaba in her forest tree house, Glinda and Fiyero together in the Emerald City, and glimpses of other characters returning to the story.
The song “Thank Goodness / I Couldn’t Be Happier” (featuring Michelle Yeoh) from the Wicked movie begins, largely set in Munchkinland during the opening of the Yellow Brick Road. We see Glinda and Madame Morrible at the event, and Fiyero discovers he’s engaged to Glinda, just before Morrible starts spreading untrue stories about Elphaba.
Cynthia Erivo performs “No Place Like Home,” a song originally written for the musical Wicked. It appears early in the movie when Elphaba meets animals fleeing Oz. She sings it hoping to inspire them to help her protect their home.
In the film, we see a reunion between Nessarose and Elphaba, along with the magical shoes and Boq’s feelings for Glinda. This is where Nessarose casts a spell on Boq after he rejects her, turning him into the Tin Man by removing his heart.
Jeff Goldblum, Ariana Grande, and Cynthia Erivo perform “Wonderful” as the Wizard tries to get Elphaba to team up with him. This version of the song differs from the Broadway show by including Glinda in the performance. Adding Glinda creates new scenes and moments, including a quick reference to the song “Defying Gravity” as Glinda and Elphaba share a moment together.
In the song “I’m Not That Girl (Reprise)” from the musical Wicked, Glinda returns to the ruined wedding ceremony after Elphaba causes chaos by freeing the Wizard’s hidden animals and Fiyero leaves with her. The song explores Glinda realizing Fiyero is in love with Elphaba, and she sings a portion of Elphaba’s signature song.
“As Long As You’re Mine,” performed by Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey, is a central love song in Wicked: For Good. This passionate ballad plays as Elphaba and Fiyero finally share a private moment together in a tree house after fleeing Emerald City, building to their first kiss.
Cynthia Erivo’s performance of “No Good Deed” is a standout track from the Broadway show. The song begins as Elphaba reaches Kiamo Ko and casts the spell that turns Fiyero into the Scarecrow. As she sings, we see flashbacks of her time with Nessarose and Dr. Dillamond. Ultimately, the song perfectly captures the central ideas of good versus evil explored in the story.
As a huge fan of Wicked, I always found the scene called “March of the Witch Hunters” really compelling. It’s where Boq, after becoming the Tin Man, takes the lead, and Dorothy, the Lion, and Fiyero (disguised as the Scarecrow) all set off to find the Wicked Witch of the West, just like The Wizard asked. It’s a fantastic sequence, but it’s surprisingly brief – it ends right before the next song begins, which always felt a little abrupt to me.
In Ariana Grande’s song, “The Girl in the Bubble” from Wicked: For Good, Glinda realizes she can’t remain passive while others hunt Elphaba. The song depicts her decision to take action – to break free from her comfortable life and expose the Wizard and Morrible, ultimately warning Elphaba of the danger she faces.
“For Good,” performed by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, is the deeply moving final song in Wicked: For Good. It depicts a heartfelt reunion between Glinda and Elphaba in Kiamo Ko, where they reflect on the lasting impact of their friendship and how it has positively changed them. The song is combined with elements of “Finale ‘Wicked'” and even snippets of “No One Mourns The Wicked” to create a sweeping, conclusive number, beautifully brought to life by Erivo and Grande.
