Wicked fans demand For Good trailer after exclusive sneak peek: ‘This is cruel’

As a dedicated fan of Wicked, I can’t help but feel the anticipation building within me. Ever since that thrilling on-stage sneak peek, I’ve been yearning for Universal to unleash the trailer for Wicked: For Good. The wait is getting tougher by the day!

Ariana Grande, alongside Cynthia Erivo, joined director Jon M Chu and producer Marc Platt for a live demonstration of the upcoming movie version of the musical’s second installment, during their appearance at CinemaCon. They presented some footage from this project.

The displayed video commences playing ‘No Good Deed’ first, marking the start of Elphaba’s rebellion against the Wizard. This is accomplished by attempting to tarnish his reputation in public.

Additionally, scenes depicting Glinda’s wedding, Fiyero brandishing a weapon, conversations between Elphaba and Glinda about their bond, the group of companions traversing the Yellow Brick Road, and the melody ‘For Good’ are also included.

In numerous Reddit discussions, there’s a strong consensus among fans that the leaked footage they’ve seen is so thrilling that it’s imperative for Universal Studios to unveil a sneak peek or a complete trailer without further delay.

“Need to see it so bad. I want to see how many non-stage musical new scenes they show!” wrote fan.

Another fan expressed a similar feeling by stating, “I’m not speedily swiping through TikTok, hoping someone has shared a blurry unofficial video,” a feeling also mirrored in comments such as “Someone must have been recording, don’t they? In movie theaters starting from November 21st, “For Good” will make its debut. If you prefer, you can also buy or rent it digitally, or purchase a physical copy on disc.
