Wicked 2 debuts first clip of iconic song in new teaser ahead of trailer release
Fans of the musical “Wicked” were given a sneak peek of the well-known tune ‘For Good’ in an exhilarating preview video.
Look forward to catching the upcoming cinema release of the highly-anticipated sequel to the popular musical, featuring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, this coming November! The trailer for this film is set to debut soon, so audiences won’t have much longer to wait.
Universal Pictures UK announced that the trailer for “Wicked: For Good” will be released on Thursday, June 5th. They also shared a sneak peek of the upcoming trailer. In this short clip, the cast of “Wicked” made an appearance in character while the famous title song and one of the musical’s favorite tunes, ‘For Good’, played in the background.

The melody is played on the piano as an instrumental rendition, while the harmonious voices of Erivo and Grande can be heard uniting to sing the well-known line: “I have been transformed.
In the clip, it is Erivo who initially appears as Elphaba, then comes along Jonathan Bailey portraying Fiyero, followed sequentially by Michelle Yeoh playing Madame Morrible, and finally, we see Jeff Goldblum as The Wizard.
As a devoted admirer, I can share that Ethan Slater takes center stage as Boq, with Marissa Bode bringing Nessarose Thropp, Elphaba’s sister, to life. The scene concludes with Broadway sensation, Grande, enchantingly portraying Glinda. She waves her wand, and just like magic, the movie title comes into view.
The trailer for the show “Wicked: For Good” is expected to be released in the UK during the early hours of Thursday, which translates to Wednesday evening (June 4th) in the U.S.
In the second film, the second act of the musical “Wicked” will be adapted for the big screen, concluding with Cynthia Erivo’s award-winning performance of ‘Defying Gravity’, a song that happens to mark the end of Act I in the musical.
Among the numerous tunes that music enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting in Part Two, you’ll find ‘For Good’, joined by other expected tracks such as ‘No Good Deed’, ‘As Long As You’re With Me’, and a reprise of ‘I Am Not That Girl’.
