Ahead of its fourth season, Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso has replaced one of its actors, suggesting some important plot developments are coming.
Ted Lasso is currently one of the most popular and well-regarded original shows on Apple TV, and the third season provided a great ending. However, surprisingly, the show is coming back for another season! While it’s still unknown what season 4 will be like, recent news suggests some significant changes to the storyline.
A character was replaced with a new actor before the fourth season began, which has led to some changes in the storyline.
Ted Lasso Season 4 Recast Ted’s Son, Henry
For the first three seasons of Ted Lasso, Henry, Ted’s son, was played by Gus Turner, who also appeared in Loki. But for season four, Grant Feeley – known for his work on shows like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Chicago P.D., and the film Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 – has taken over the role.
Ted Lasso’s Recasting Was Necessary For Henry’s Bigger Role In Season 4
Okay, so Apple TV isn’t saying anything officially, but the buzz is that they needed someone who actually plays soccer for the next season of Ted Lasso. It seems like they’re setting Henry up for a bigger role, and we’ll probably see him get much more involved in the football action. It makes sense – they need someone who looks believable on the field, and Henry might be stepping up to the plate!
He could appear with the AFC Richmond youth team, or we might see him training alongside the main team, mirroring their stories. Either way, this would reinforce the show’s central idea of growth and development happening across different ages.
No matter how big Henry’s part is in season four of Ted Lasso, it’ll be fascinating to see how the show uses him to explore how Ted’s impact continues to grow.
Ted Lasso Season 4’s First-Look Images Hint At A Big Change For Henry
An early look at season four of Ted Lasso shows Henry wearing a school uniform and sitting with Ted in a pub, suggesting he may now be living with Ted in the UK. If so, the new season could explore Ted becoming a full-time father while continuing to coach, which would fit the show’s theme of balancing work and family life.
I’m already so excited for season four of Ted Lasso, and this little detail has just made the wait even harder! It’s a fantastic sign of things to come, and I can’t wait to see how everything unfolds when it arrives on Apple TV in the summer of 2026. Only time will tell exactly what happens, but I have a really good feeling about it.
